    Результат отличный, но ковать Дамаск, потратить столько ресурса в виде: электроэнергии, материалов Гринберга, ленты и так далее. И потом что бы уничтожить такой слой заготовкм это глупо.

    good knife btw..but you've wasted a quite amount of good material..i think it'll be enough to make 2 blade

  • @AndTheCorrectAnswerIs
    @AndTheCorrectAnswerIs Před 6 lety +2

    Awesome knife, as usual, but why don't you forge the Damascus stock out thinner? Seems like you had enough for at least 2 blades, but ground and milled it all away. If you could make an adjustable positive stop on your press you could get a uniform thinner piece of raw stock.

      AndTheCorrectAnswerIs I forged way to thick On purpose because the twisted Damascus look better in the middle of the twist

  • @grubkiller4616
    @grubkiller4616 Před 6 lety

    I'm sure people have told you this before but you use a touch too much flux. You only need to barely coat the surface. And before the billet ever hits the fire you can soak it in kerosene. Alternatively you can put the billet in the forge just long enough for it to start getting temper colors, sprinkle it with flux and then use WD40 to move the flux into the different layers of he billet

    Why dont you use your milling machine for the tang work? It cuts/pockets better-easier than a drill and file.
