I'm an average, middle class american, with little to no experience working on vehicles. I felt the need to do a video on my experience with the tool. It's simple, easy, the app looks great, and really does help someone like me get to know his vehicle better, and helps save money when things inevitably go wrong.

Could I point out that he is not holding an OBDeleven pro pack; what he is holding is an OBDeleven.
This is the identical dongle used for the Pro pack, Ultimate Pack, and Basic pack. What makes it Basic, Pro, or Ultimate is the software/credits you buy and use with it. The offficial website skirts around this issue and tries to imply you get different dongles with each pack or plan.
There are two dongles: First generation which works only with Android. Second generation which works with Android and Apple and perhaps some other operating systems!

Just FYI, they are not giving the free 200 credits anymrore if you buy PRO pack.
so what is the value at all in the Pro Pack as of Dec 2023? Is there some software options that are in the Pro Pack that aren't in the Basic Red?

That’s weird, I got 200 free just for buying and signing up. I’d call them and figure out what happened.
Yes, I emailed them and they told me that no free credits with pro version.
Once you buy pro pack, do you need to keep buying credits to keep using it over time??
Or you just buy it one time and can use it freely forever??
You can use it as a detailed diagnostic tool indefinitely! But to be able to modify/ customize some of your cars systems, it’ll cost credits. But I never do any of those things. Haha

Hey no problem. The one I got was 150ish$, and I still use it weekly without any credits. They have some of the cheaper ones (same brand, different model) for 75-100$ that basically do the same thing.
@@lacersarc I'm more interested in the applications/coding part of things, looking for a device that does coding with no exaggerated prices
you will have to buy every year a new subscription if you want to use this device, just keep in mind before ordering. Every year 50$ i believe.
What's annoying me the most about OBDE is that we cant get free credits any more. We're forced to buy the pro version, even though I'd like to just trial things out
What you buy extra are software additions or credits. The Dongle is the same one (First generation or Second generation)
I purchased the pro version for a dictional $50 got the Damm code and still waiting on tech support to correct the bull shit just to have the pro access all this bs just to program the battery on this fucking Audi and once i program it I will be getting out off this fuck ass audi
