Glennis is also a diva in the netherlands and exceptional singer! Whitney lives on in her, no other singer in the world comes as close to Whitney in terms of sound, but Glennis does her own thing. It's almost like Whitney's soul/spirit is trapped within her and that god given voice is trying to come out. You can here the subtlities at points epecially when she does riffs and runs on some of the notes and when she goes into her more softer voice.
most singers today girls and boys use AUTO TUNE, in principle a divice designed to correct the note if its a little to high or too low, so actualy the machine is designed for singers that cant sing. the machine not only correct the notes if nesasary but it add something to it why you can easily recognise when that instrument is uded, you can also overstear the device than you get funny sounds added if you remember i believe by Cher thats a good example wat the possibilities are. when you know that 93% of the billboard hot 100 is produced with this device you also know how bad the situation is right now at the end of your reaction you name a few artist starting with Beyonce, than a few more of wich most also use that machine , we as music lovers should start a movement to bring back real singing and boycot all recordings that make use of magic machines where you cant go wrong, it makes everybody sounds ok but nobody brilliant like our Glennis who sings pure natural

That was great but the musical choices made at the end wasn't my favorite. There was a bit of raspy-ness to her voice in the belting parts like as though she needed to clear her throat or needed a glass of water. Wasn't as beautiful as it could have been sounded a bit strained that part. The whole beauty of I will always love you is to be able to sing the last " ...and I.......Will always love you....." in a relaxed non strained voice with the most beautiful tone possible.
I am Dutch and will see her in concert in Oct 2018 . She is a great singer - no doubt - but still with this song it feels like she is emulating (copying) Whitney still - look at Whitney live and there are runs etc that she literally copied. She needs to start putting her spin on a song a bit a more. Otherwise she will be known as Whitney cover artist (albeit a very good one) which is a shame. I love her Bon Jovi rendition of "Always" - please do check this one out - Here she is taking a classic rock/pop song song and she gives it her spin.

Clearly we have different opinions on a few areas- and that is ok. As in your view that I am incorrect in using words like "copying", equally your response implying that I do not know Glennis or Whitney is also implied. What we do have in common though is that we both very much appreciate the talent that she possess. Otherwise we wouldn't be rooting for her or see her in concert ( mind you I have been following Glennis since she was 17 years old - and seen her many times concert - so not because of her AGT participation. In all opinion is opinio we do not have to share - commonality we both love her voice. Peace
it's actually easier to sing acapella as there are no sounds to overpower your voice. That's why artist like madonna or some of the girl groups sound great acapella or with just a piano or guitar, bt the second there are instruments and beats, they have to up their game to overpower the instruments and then all of a sudden they can't sing anymore :) It sounds more impressive tho...
