Soft mute in gain adjustment is a known behavior of the mixer's preamp stage. We have already improved the intervention of digital controls in the latest firmware releases. In any case, this does not compromise the use of the machine especially if you set a good gain level during soundcheck.
I just got this mixer yesterday, no graphic eq in the mix busses, don't know if I should return it, is the there going to be any firmware update or is there one already to insert graphic eq to mix busses?

I have this same hiccup. Once gain is set, you mix from the faders but if you need to adjust on the fly, this could be noticed by your audience.
This was a couple years ago, has the behavior shown in this video been resolved?
