Jarrett Rivers wrote another chapter in Blyth Spartans' rich FA Cup history as his last-minute winner earned his side a 2-1 win at Hartlepool United.
Famous for their Cup upsets of yesteryear, The Spartans continued their journey into The Third Round Proper after coming from a goal down at the break to shock their League Two opponents.
The victory did not come without controversy, but none of that will matter to manager Tom Wade as he and his side begin to dream of pulling out a Premier League tie in Monday’s draw.

F.A Cup is the best cup in the world for these games. Blyth Spartans were awesome, and it's hilarious that jeff spelling was pissing and moaning about Shearers motivational speech like he'd passed amphetamines around or summat!!
Never heard of Spartans, but due initially of course to the win, now also because of Spellings embarrassing griping, a lot more of the country has. Good for u lads, n good luck in the next round!!

Im sure thats Kev Keatings on commentary. He was a radio commentator for Radio City in Liverpool for many years and Im sure I remember him saying that he grew up a Hartleppol fan. He must have been gutted at this result but to give him credit he hid his emotions well.
