The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time reminds me of the simpler days before I had to worry about high school, stress, anxiety, drama, or losing people that are important to me. This game makes me miss the times when I would go out with my friends and climb trees, explore the old, abandon hotel near my house as if it were a dungeon we had to explore and beat monsters and solve dungeon puzzles, and simply be kids, but then I realize what this game truly means; this game is about growing up and learning that we shouldn’t cry because we lost something instead smile because we had these things in the first place.
I have been listening to all the lofi zelda playlists I could find. And this is the best one in my opinion.
This music really takes me back to a time when I was truly happy. I had a fairly average childhood, maybe a bit worse than average. But when I played Ocarina of Time it was more real than my reality. The zelda world had a huge impact on my life and this music gives me a tease of what it was like to be a carefree child again.
Edit: Coming back to this comment months later, I am humbled by the responses. To say that my childhood was worse than average was not true. As I reflect on my life, despite all the shit that happened (like any other human, I experienced a lot of shit), my childhood was beautiful. And I owe a lot of this beauty to Nintendo and the game creators.
And holy shit, this is good music. It literally gives me chills. I am in love. Thank you chill place. And if any of the musicians are reading this, thank you. As musician myself, this is beautiful music.

Dang, I listened to this Zelda lofi playlist back in college while I was studying, so coming back to it again nowadays due to TotK’s launch is definitely über nostalgic.
I never actually played Zelda, except for this one time way early on in me and my ex's relationship. We were laying on her bed as she passed me her DS and I played for the first time while she watched and tried to help me navigate through the game. She was a fan, had games and merch, and she even went on our junior high dance dressed and dolled up with a Legend Of Zelda shirt, and she wore a Zelda necklace.
I don't know much about The Legend Of Zelda, but I do know that whenever I think of it, she usually comes to mind, and fond memories come back. This music makes me think of her while being nostalgic, without having the "I miss you" strings attached to it.

I love The Legend of Zelda series. Even though I suck at it, I watched my dad and my brothers play Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and etc when I was young. I was fascinated, so I watched TONS of CZcams videos on the gameplay, secrets, cheats, tricks, and etc. I still suck at it, but I know the in and outs of a lot of the games! I wish I had a happy childhood to reminisce about while listening. Can't remember the last time I was happy, but I still feel nostalgia for the scenarios of peace I used to make up in my mind whenever things got bad. I was born with schizophrenia, so I never really got a moment of peace or calm.
Until my dad bought me a gameboy for my birthday.
The first game I got was A Link to the Past. Advancing in the game was difficult because my mind made up shit that wasn't there and I kept dying. My friends and sister had to help me through most of the stages, honestly. But I seriously enjoyed the music. It calmed my nerves and my hallucinations weren't as bad. I was excited when the newer, 3D Zelda's came out, and the music sounded clearer. Anyway, I'll try to get some sleep now. My dog, Charlie, is lying down next to me. He passed away years ago, but I miss him so I'm not disturbed. He's the best hallucination I've had... Thank you.

Oh my god, the amount of power Zelda music has on me is too powerful. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess are probably my favorite games of all time. Ahhhhh... I'll never tire of this franchise. I still remember playing Windwaker and A Link to the Past as a kid.
This literally made my night, growing up on zelda, I had a pretty normal childhood and some serious traumas and I met one of my current best friends in 9th and that was my first Zelda friend. This takes me way back to all the time playing or drawing zelda and link or just geeking out with my best friend over zelda stuff. This is the first lofi Zelda I heard and its absolute gold.

This playlist makes me miss being young playing N64 on my old tube TV in my room at night, bag full of munchies I just picked up at the convenience store down the road. The sound of my dad listening to old Johnny Cash records, my mom on the computer, and my brothers in their room playing gameboy. The smell of a late dinner being made on a weekend, knowing it was movie night. I wish I could control my dreams more and visit that place every night. Now were all grown up and living separately, including my parents. Someday life will come full circle and hopefully I will be more aware so I can truly enjoy those timeless moments.

I would always just be sitting on the couch Just enjoying seeing my family enjoy themselves. They never understood (except my mom) why. One summer when I was like 24, I was living at my parents' place at a weird in-between point in my life, and I had just bought myself a computer monitor that I didn't realize had no speakers along with an HDMI to AV converter so I could plug in my cherished N64. When I started playing Ocarina of Time and realized that I had no way to listen to the in-game sounds/music, I was actually very disappointed... until I found this video. I played this over a bluetooth speaker while playing, and it basically became the new soundtrack for OoT. The opening song by TV Blonde gave the game and myself a sense of rebirth. The Lurelin Village one was also special to me even though I hadn't played BoTW yet and didn't know what it was from. I have a core memory of playing the game on a computer for the first time and my room being filled with the golden light of a sunny afternoon turning into sunset. I've been chasing that feeling for years.
You may not have made any of these songs, but you put together a perfect playlist in my opinion. Shit changed my life dog

These all hit me hard, and I love them all. But...Time Remembered is just SO impeccable. The curation/placement of the SFX and the choice and arrangement of those riffs, just perfect. The Goron grunt and the end of the bridge!!! Incredible care and attention to detail.

Reading all the comments about people re living their childhoods through songs like these really hit me. I'm still a kid, I am a teenager halfway through high school. I need to appreciate this time more. I have wasted so many summers doing useless things like watching soulless you tube videos. I just got Ocarina of Time. I'm 15 and i'm just now playing my first Zelda Game. Took me awhile but I'm really exited to play it. Much more exited to play this game than lay in bed and mindlessly watch you tube videos (some you tube videos are great and beautiful but many that I see are useless and a waste of my time). I feel like every kid should play Zelda in honor of the generations of people before them who were kids just like them. You are only a kid for a little while, and for some reason I feel like Zelda should be apart of most every kids life. So now is my time

This was absolutely incredible...listened to it fully just now!!!
I don't fit in with anyone. I can't make friends easily, and even though I learned how to socialize, its absolutely draining to remember how and put it into use.
But when my mom goes to bed at night, and it gets cold outside, I grab a pile of blankets, some sour cream and onion chips, hurdle under my blankets, and play botw until I remember that as a straight A student, I have to go to bed eventually. Maybe I'm nearly incapabale of making friends, but I can always count on these giant worlds to give me comfort when I have nothing else to depend on. Because god knows how many times I fail to do something, my switch won't grow legs, shake its head at me, and walk away.
I'm glad you found something that makes you happy and puts you at ease. That's all that really matters. Hang in there.

This is so good. Brings tears to my eyes. I love LoZ so much. I played the original and enjoyed the open world and hidden gems, and how difficult it is to beat it. Windwaker was my first 3d Zelda game, and I fell in love with music. BOTW helped me through a really difficult breakup. My love of Zelda music only grew more. I can't even express my gratitude and love for this series. It's my escape from reality when I need a break.

I recommend Phantom Hourglass. It's kind of in the middle of the storyline but it's really engaging with the puzzles and the first Zelda game I ever played.

I havnt played a lot of zelda games but my favourite is Twilight princess and i recomend it for starters since its a easy game but still gives you zelda vibes and it was the first zelda game i ever played and has always been my favourite game
With this video time goes so slowly but so quickly at the same time. Man I miss the times when I would come back after school and play ocarina of time for countless hours. The wave of nostalgia hits whenever a Zelda ost is played. There is just something so magical about it.

I wasn't expecting this to be the soundtrack of my summer when I first clicked this a month ago, but it looks like that's how things are shaking out. It's not just the selection of tracks, but also the order that really makes this mix flow smoothly for me and keeps me coming back. Time Remembered, Greenheart, Sorry, and Extended Stay in particular are some outstanding bits of work, and perfectly spaced apart.

After LoZ, it became Mario, and then Animal Crossing, and all sorts of other games. But this comments section is really making me feel old :( Was anyone else's first Zelda game the Legend of Zelda on the NES? That game was great, but Link to the Past on SNES is truly phenomenal. THE game of my childhood. I will never forget it. Ocarina of Time is almost as great.
