Newer processor, better cameras, larger battery, and a better ip rating. Are people expecting the phone to fly? What’s wrong? I tried the flip 5 and returned it. Samsung improved the issues that caused me to return. I’m not upset that it can’t fly.
Just look at competition . Samsung is not Apple .Samsung cant get away with comparing with itself. Razr 50 Ultra and Honor Magic V flip destroys the outer screen of Samsung flip while beig significantly cheaper.
@@Jadepeanut Razr is far less qualified in that race. razr will not last as long as samsung does and also you will get android update 1-2 years later after the release and the processor is....

Yeah I'm really excited for this phone and it will be my first flip. They already had the major improvement with cover screen from 4->5 so just further refining with no design change for this generation is totally fair. All of the number improvements in this video give me a lot of confidence in my purchase. The battery impresses me the most I think. Over 25% increase in battery life while the actual battery size only went up 8% is a pretty dramatic improvement. Add on the better ip rating and the less noticeable crease and the main drawbacks are nearly eliminated.
@Jadepeanut they really destroy samsung by having subpar software. Samsung has the best foldable software by a light year. It's less evident in the flip, but still obvious
The cooling chamber is the main improvement that's giving it extra hours of life. This is why OnePlus phones are so good.
Yes you are correct the vapor chamber is a big deal. I have the Flip4 and it gets very hot. Sometimes shockingly hot.
Same with Flip3, overheating in summertime.

I pre ordered the flip 6 due to a degraded battery on my 5 and more ram and better chipset plus the cooling and upgraded camera makes it worth it

@@jovk888-hs1qn They said that about the flip 6 early on last year too. Since the Flip 6 has the 50mp main shooter it does offer 2x lossless in sensor zooming. So the 2x zoomed photos should look great. If they did finally put a dedicated zoom lens but only a 2x like the Moto its not a game changer. The 120hz front screen since its so small Im not sure if it would make that big of difference.
One most important thing none off you reviews never said or mentions off is. The battry burn 🔥 the screen hot during screen usage. It probaly hot 🔥 enough to cuase north pole to melt to Deserted land.

Will be flipping over to the flip 6 from an s24u.
Ive been wanting a flip since launch but always preferred the better specs of the ultra line. Now that it matches the s24u cpu, ram, and storage happy to trade in my s24u.
Just hoping the smaller and low res cover display, lower resolution main display will mean it matches the s24u battery performance.
Im able to go around 18h from 100% to 20% moderate/high usage bluetooth and wifi etc witht the ultra.
Another reason was the s24u line displays were fucked. Had three s24u all Grainy and the three faint bars when displaying low brightness content and apps.
Also excited to use the little display to change music check notifs etc while on commute
How much you traded ultra for and whats extra cost for the flip 6?

The battery is 1/3 in flip 6 of s24U. That is the only reason I am not switching.
The battery on the flip 6 is nothing compared to ultra. Be prepared to charge half way through the day
Samsung never stated that its lighter. their website shows the same weight.
the brightness on the cover screen is also the same across the two models. the only difference is that the flip 6 has a brighter inside display.
Flip 6 looks finally decent now, we finally got out of the beta testing stages, thank goodness, apologise for all the previous flip users
I had flip 3 4 and 5. This is normal minor upgrade. The 5 was good enough. Only difference is battery life the but the flips feel the exact same. I got a special edition last year on launch so...the quality is nearly exactly the same. Glad to see a better battery. But Same look, same camera and same everything. Ive always thought the cameras were good enough since the flip 3 and fold 3. Sounds like you are barely getting your hands on a flip. If you have flip 5 I wouldn't upgrade and if you even have a fold 4 I wouldn't upgrade. Unless the trade it made it like 600 bucks
Flip 3 user. I do not think the design is getting better. I like the look of 3 and 4 the best. I understand it had the be changed for the bigger front screen, but those color circles around the cameras ? I am not a fan.
@@superXfairXgirl the 3 and 4 definitely feel more tight well put together. The 5 and 6 felt like a shell. But as for design in reference to the bigger front display it most definitely got better.

12mini here, apple makes sure their software makes your phone obsolete in 3-4yr, so I always try to push for the full 4 years and as much more as I can scrape, but this time I'm ready to say screw apple and jump on this bad boy. 7 software iterations of support? Sign me the hell up.
The things they improved are exactly the points we needed them to improve. Well done, Samsung. Definitely worth the upgrade from the 5, in my opinion. Those things that they did not improve (i.e., charging speed) didn't seem to be a priority for Flip users.
Flip looking like a better deal than fold now
I just got my flip 6 today. I was curious to see the difference in speed when processing a 4 minute HD video that I edited in Adobe rush compared to my flip 5. I was surprised that both phones took the exact same amount of time. Approx 1 min. Any idea why my 6 was not a little faster?

I wasn't gonna pull the trigger based on the specs alone since the trade in pre order isn't as good this year. But then they brought one of these into work and I got the hold it. It feels just so much better and more solid like a fine finished product than the flip 5. That's what pushed me over to order it.
I mean wow it's officially resistant to 1mm objects; but which phone lets in 1mm objects?
What about the over heating ? I've been having a lot of issues with overheating on the flip 5 , sometimes I can't even open the camera to take pics

My flip 4 doesn't do that, you probably have damaged fans
@@TheLogrealmy flip 5 has been so much worse than my 4 despite the major upgrades that made us want to switch to the 5. It felt like a bait n switch
I'm still on the fence if I'm going to upgrade my five or not I don't know I would love to see the photo quality compared to the five and maybe that'll persuade me a lot more

Thats good enough for me. Samsung said what people wanted from a flip 6 was a bigger battery. Brighter screen and honestly thats enough for me to upgrade. Glad to see its a lot better in tests

If only the razr 50 came with the snapdragon gen 3 processor it would have been a killer. Such a shame

@@TribuneoftheplebsSo you keep your phones for 7 years of daily use? The only benefit for a 7 years of promised updates is for the used market. Since most people do well to keep a phone for 2 maybe 3 years. So this should not even be a factor for most people on a purchase decision.
Battery is not an issue for me. I like the form factor. I do not browse for example news for 16 hrs a day...

Im getting the Flip 6 after using a Note 20 Ultra for a year now (pre owned). Its a downgrade in some areas but honestly I want an interesting phone that is not a brick 😅. Its 2024, time to embrace whatever wacky tech comes instead of sticking to whats known

Although some welcome changes, these battery, display and camera improvements should have been with us a few years ago. So, I am not that excited, unlike some YT creators and influencers. The price increase negates any feeling that the specs are now in line with what they should have been. I suppose it will please diehard flip fans.

Still big crease please Samsung come on... My flip not feel when scrolling also almost none visible when phone is on :) also more wide looks like an phone when unfolded :) but Flip 6 is many new nice feature for sure :)

Batter is maintained by software, next year the last version batter will decrease. So maintain good battery life, don't update your phone.

The battery life being better is equivelant to ads on a salty bag of chip saying "less sodium". It was already plenty of salt to begin with so its not saying much. Just the the batteyr on 5 was so bad, this inprovement isnt saying much. Its still terrible compared to competitors and a phone in general in 2024

I guess I should've waited for flip 7 instead of trading my S24 Ultra for flip 6 🥲 But this damn Ultra24 is just so BIG like a brick, making it hard to put in my pocket.

@KickinitWithKarla It depends on what you want in a mobile phone. I like the flip; it fits into my pocket easily & is so much slimmer than S24 Ultra but you'll get used to it. The camera is so important to me. I didn't use the flip's camera so much like for filming or in a concert but until now, no I don't regret exchanging it. I'm happy that it's lighter than Ultra. I just hope in 7 they improve the camera to have a zoom like Ultra. Though in my opinion the quality of the U was not as I expected!
I have a flip 5 and love it.but the battery is really bad. That would be my biggest reason to go to the 6. I do love my ultra but it's so heavy and hard to hold. @K_halmiland
@KickinitWithKarla yeah that's literally the main reason why I changed from Ultra to 6. But the 6's battery is not that bad actually considering the fact that I'm always on my phone doing/watching sth.
i'm not buying a flip phone unless the phone will have 5000mAh battery, a bit wider screen and 3 cameras(ultra-wide, wide, telephoto)

Never buy this flip again.. eventually it will shut down when folded. Big issues on flip 4 and 5
The problem is with trade program it samsung website, for example you could get a free flip 5 if you give them a used flip 4 last year when flip5 released.
I will give them my yellow 512GB "like new" condition flip 5 if they offer me a free flip 6. otherwise they will sell less flips and folds compared to last year, which is funny because samsung planning to sell 12% more phones than last year.
With low trade value I don't thing they will achieve their coal.

I really don’t see what else they can do after the flip 5, seems to be at its finest until technology evolves even more or someone thinks of a new idea. I mean literally majority of the phones such as samsung and iphone just have stopped evolving and feels the same with only hardware improvements.
