Civic rebirth needs maintenance work and a better driver who knows how to shift those manual gears at the correct rpm I've raced a Elantra 2.0 gls from a roll and drag race with my well maintained stock manual reborn and from a standstill I got a good launch from 3500 rpm coz road was new so properly paved I got the lead from launch we raced till 160 and I was 2 cars ahead then from 40 roll still managed to take 1 car lead from Elantra speed was up to 150 but I can tell Elantra has a strong top end and eventually in a longer race like till 200 Elantra will be faster due to 200 extra cc more hp and torque and being a DOHC engine it has a better top end as comapred to civics 1.8 SOHC
