I live in the south and I make my niece and nephew’s cakes every year. His birthday is May 30 and it’s ALWAYS hot as can be and humid and my frosting weeps and decorations melt, it drives me bonkers. I’m so saving this for next year! Thank you for posting this video 🥲.
I’m also in the south, Nola area, and quit doing cakes for this very reason. I’ve been sticking to cookies and cupcakes. I have an outdoor wedding cake to do next month though. So I’m going to try this.

It’s just vanilla coffee syrup like the ones they use at Starbucks.

I do a double batch for 2 dozen.
Do you use unsalted butter? Or salted?
I’ve used both before but I used unsalted butter this time.

Yes it does! I’ve tried it, but use the Crisco baking stick

Yes absolutely, you can also get the butter flavored crisco sticks.
@@SweetLifeofCeCe Thanks forgot to mention I use the all vegetable kind because of the lard in the other kind. Not sure if crisco make this in butter flavored but will check. Thanks!
