It takes way longer than 30min! I don't have a filter, however just did it as instructed. Cleaning this machine is my least prefered tasks at home! I always put it off until I know it just has to be done.
The way that phase works is that it will take water until the signal for low water is showing. Do not pour 2 liters, pour 0.5l, scale the descaling liquid if you're using something else than recommended to fit the 0.5l amount as shown in the video. Do not add water unless the machine specifically asks for it, when it comes to the next step where you wash the water tank and pour fresh water.

I do not have a filter for this machine. Bought in Scandinavia, no need for it here due to decent tap water?
I guess you don’t have to take out the filter then...
I have a problem. Descaling in my machine takes mooch longer than described and needs 2 liter not 0.5
