Tbh, I do not think translation does any justice to this song... They needed to hire an English literature major translating. Lyrics in korean are much more poetic than the translation.
You are certainly right. It's also the case in their cinema and TV, which is the best in the world in my opinion. The English subtitles never do justice to what they're saying and how they're saying it. I don't speak Korean, but I lived there a few years, and from that I know there are absolutely layers and levels to their language.

Translation is bad, yes. But English is garbage for translating korean. Korean is expressive in q way English simply can't do justice. There is only one way to say "i did it" in English while there's dozens of way to say it in korean all with different nuance
