Next week i start my last build off 2 conversions off 2 play 5's with the Symfonisk, i Will make a "tuturial" and some close-up pictures off that 👍 Please be patient, i am a busy man with a little time for making a full video, but i will do the best i can 😁
I bought one of this at a yard sale, I downloaded the sonos app and then it told me I need to download the Sonos 1 app, but since I use my email to create the account with the yellow color app, I cannot create another account with the Sonos 1 app with the same email, I am really frustrated... that's the only email I have, I wish I could at least use the speaker with auxiliar cable, but I can't!!! I tried many different things but nothing works, any recommendations? Thanks in advance!!
hi, what about the tutorial how to convert the Play5 Gen1 into Gen2 ???? I need that very very very urgent!!!! I moved to a new palce, I got a new IP number and nor my Sonos Gen1 System with 6 Paly5 SPeakers doesent anymore because of NO SUPPORT... how to fix that???? tnak you
The Symfonisk has two amps, one for tweeter and one for mid/woofer. How do I connect these two amps to the five speakers of the five? Probably sub woofer to low amp and 2 tweeters in serial to high amp, but where did you connect the two mid range speakers?
Did you get the symfonisk hardware to play through the play 5 in stereo? The symfonisk is only mono out (one amp) or did you use part of the play 5 hardware to use the original internal amp
Any updates on how u did it? Is it just using the Symfonisk speakers or are u actually using the speakers from the play:5 and driving it från the symfonisk hardware?

G2 has more speakers it’s a totally different speaker

You don't need to create a new account, use your same email and password

Hi, FYI the Symfonisk has 1 amp but 2 filters, 1 for high and 1 for low.
But i use the amp from the play 5, i 'just' add/replace the Sonos parts.

IT is "mono", like you say, the Symfonisk is mono.
Pretty keen to try this as well. I got ripped off by buying 2 play 5's that had been bricked, so hoping to make lemonade out of the two lemons 🤣

Hi, ikea has changed the Symfonisk (chip and hw layout) it's no more possible to make this work, or just swap everything.
Can the Sonos play 5 gen 1 work with the new Sonos app or is it strictly used for the old (S1) Sonos app?

Zeker niet, de play 5 heeft oude hardware, het enige wat je inlever is het stereo.
