"Redundant" Lyrics:
We're living in repetition.
Content in the same old shtick again.
Now the routine's turning to contention,
Like a production line going over and over and over, roller coaster.
Now I cannot speak, I've lost my voice.
I'm speechless and redundant.
'Cause I love you's not enough.
I'm lost for words.
Choreographed and lack of passion.
Prototypes of what we were.
Went full circle 'til I'm nauseous.
Taken for granted now.
Now I waste it, faked it, ate it, now i hate it.
'Cause I cannot speak, I lost my voice.
I'm speechless and redundant, 'cause I love you's not enough.
I'm lost for words.
Now I cannot speak, I've lost my voice.
I'm speechless and redundant.
'Cause I love you's not enough.
I'm lost for words.
Now I cannot speak, I've lost my voice.
I'm speechless and redundant.
'Cause I love you's not enough.
I'm lost for words. - Hudba
Listen up motherf🦄🦄🦄ers Father Of All... is out now! Play it loud and play it on repeat🤘GreenDay.lnk.to/fatherofall
i love you green day
Hi :)
Didn't expect you to comment that on here unless it's a bot
No, it’s fucking terrible
Fuck yeah that album goes hard
Green Day loves playing their instruments in people's homes.
At least their consistent lol
They can use my home if they want
Or mental hospitals
And bathrooms and kitchens don’t forget kitchens .
@ALVALYNN CRISP they're the patients ahahahaha
This song never gets redundant
Haha. FUNNY!
I see what u did there..
the irony...
"Cause I cannot speak"
"I've lost my voice"
"Speechless"
I think that's the point though lol
Btw, redundant means pointless.
"Choreographed and lack of passion, prototypes of what we were.." this song gets to me honestly.
John Bowden To be fair Green Day is a pretty political band
@@ryanh1013 True but they are far more liberal than conservative.

I love everything about this song; the chord progressions, lyrics... everything...
Same man. I will forever love Green Day and This Album💛
It's got such a good lead for a green day song too, it's one of their only songs that's not all power chords and it's super fun to play
i get goosebumps during the descending progression in the "i cannot speak" pre-chorus (?) section... every.single.time.
Yes
🎉❤
A lot of people dismiss this album because Good Riddance got played to death, but as a complete piece, Nimrod might be their best work.
I cannot agree more
I think anything before 21st century was good
+Fabbrizio Plays It's definitely their most mature and versatile work. Their peak for sure. I personally think, after Warning, they lost a lot of credibility. American Idiot may be seen as a classic by a younger generation, but I was in 9th grade when that album dropped and only the most wanna-be punk kids were listening to it. It's got some good songs, from a pure quality stand point, but it just felt like Billy Joe going through a mid-life crisis.
ZyxthePest yeah. You can kind of feel the progression. Dookie was them trying to find their voice - it's the most honest. Insomniac was more of a comedy album, the sort of smartass era. Then you get to nimrod, which was where their comedy pushed into social satire. But starting with Warning, they sort of lost the comedy element, such that by American Idiot it was just anger and no real wit.
American Idiot was also throwing a punch at one of the easiest targets ever, post-9/11 America. Even though I agreed with all the messages on it, that was the problem, it didn't CHALLENGE me. There was nothing that really made me think about social issues. Even the most filler fare on Nimrods, like King For A Day, challenged by old perspectives of counter culture.
Showed this to my friend... he made a good point... Props to Billie to not losing eye contact during the entire masturbation period
😂
😂😂😂
+Jonathan Friedman hahahahahaha that is the funniest thing in the world xD
you guys are fucking disgusting
Ivy Peterson Thanks
I love how melodramatic this song is
It’s a bit jangly I just hear this Meet the Beatles Lennon kind of sound I love it
he is one of those melodramatic fools
no doubt about it
sometimes i give myself the creeps
sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
Who'se here on quarantine, LIVING an actual repetition?
XD

Yup
Imagine what hiring actors for this video was like.
"Yeah we just need you to do some weird shit over and over again"
Actually they only done it once
For some reason I feel like that makes it worse
"Yeah we're just gonna need to pick up a newspaper and then walk away"

i found your name extremely amusing. congratulate yourself, because humor has no place in my miserable existence.
Nimrod was such a killer album
Happy 25th anniversary for Nimrod, one of their best album ever🔥
Fuck we're old
My mom bought me this album at Target on July 4th, 1998 back when I was like 10 and in summer school before 4th grade. Good ass times. 25 years later to the day and here we are 🙌
Why did you have to go to summer school? 😳
I played this song in my car while my mom was driving and she was like "this song is nice" and I smiled and told her it was Green Day then I asked why and she said "it sounds so familiar" and I told her it came out in 97 and she was like "yup. I remember now. That song was played so much on the radio stations." And I lost my shit when she said that.
what means i lost my shit? sorry i'm mexican, i cant get that phrase, love youre star's image :)
It just means freaking out/ being extremely happy. Just imagine people who meet their favourite celebrity and go crazy. That's what it means :)
ooo woow i get it, thank you so much, everyday you can learn something new ;)
.
That's so nice
One of their most underrated and best singles.
Maybe I’m just corny, but I love how he takes the newspaper and it freaks her out that she can’t continue the cycle.
ohhh, thats why she screams lol. i was so confused.
Yeah i like the concept of this music video
@@venomous1908 yeah like the cycle of an unhappy marriage
That's one of the messages of this song
That's funny, I've seen this video so many times and never put those two things together. I always thought she screamed cause she just had enough of the same ole same ole and couldn't take it anymore.
This song has helped me through so much. Anytime I feel sad, I always come back to Green Day, and in particular, this song. Redundant. Recently every day is just the same to me. I wake up wanting a new thing to happen, but it either is the same or worse than how it’s been. I love how soothing this song is, and I could listen to it for hours I feel like. This song is definitely in my Top 3 for my favorite Green Day songs. I just love this song so much.
Praying everyday gets better for you my brother 🙏🏼✝️
Feel the same way here, man. Keep pushing. We got this.
Yeah same I just wish everyday was just more better and not the same old stuff
Same
I love u bro, keep going and stay strong, don't forget what you feel now.
One of the best Green Day songs imo. Also the video is genius.
can you please explain the video to me?
Every thing is repeating itself in the background of the video and basically every thing is redundant (unnecessary). That is the only way I can explain it haha @DaBigiKRE
i do agree. ^_^
Also because it's "choreographed", has a "lack of passion" and "Gone full circle till I'm nautious".
Its based on a famous Oscar-winning short, "Tango", by Zbigniew Rybczyński.
This has always been my favourite Green Day song, something about it sounds so desperate and true to real life, just a beautiful piece.
Can't agree more

Nimrod.. the soundtrack of my life. What a nostalgia
😅
The most underrated song that is so good.
( 1997 ) was the year this album Nimrod came out then in 1998 , at Via Funchal, São Paulo, Brazil on November 7, 1998, I saw Green Day playing Nice Guys Finish Last as well as their glorious hits from Dookie.
But Nimrod album changed my life. I never get tired of watching the video clips: Nice Guys Finish Last and this one Redundant. One of the best times of my life, I would not change this time for any other generation.
The Beatles, Stones, Floyd, Zeppelin generation stand No chance to compete with the 90's Rock Decade ! American Punk and Grunge bands made the 90's decade The most perfect Decade of all the exitance of Rock , Hardcore and Punk Rock ! A testimony of my message here is the ( 1995 ) album ¡Adios Amigos! from Ramones.
''We now need to celebrate 90's Decade Forever ! ! !
The epidemy of a rock band....legendary stuff and absolutely timeless
King of punk rock 😊🤟...
This is a very artistic music video.
How can you not watch it at least a thousand times?
ParadiXe311 I can watch it over and over...
I am getting there. Ask my wife!
fun fact: it was inspired by the oscar-winning short "tango"
You watch it a thousand times by watching it once
Over and over and over rollercoaster
This song makes me cry because...I feel a very nice way and happy when i hear it and...i dont know why but...Green day is the best fucking band of the whole world ;)

Great song
Billie rocking the gas station employee/bowling alley shirt thing... Very mid to late 90's thing that was 👍

If Green Day randomly came to my house just to sing one song I wouldn't complain
I always find myself grabbing the guitar and playing this song, it's such a relaxing song in my opinion and so easy as well.

I’ll never stop listening to them, and the more people that say they hate the band makes me like them even more
If you like green day you will love the band called the clash. From the uk. They had success in the 80s. Not sure they are known outside the UK but give them a try. Also a band you may never have heard off called the ramones. In the 90s I met someone who said they liked green day so I told them to try out the ramones and the clash. He said he liked them both but green day were better. Give them a try I'd say you won't be dissapountwd. Which reminds me perhaps try a band called bowling for soup.
