I think the scene where Dan Schneider cries with one tear rolling down his cheek is a reference to an old commercial about native americans. South Park are genius at doing these flip victimisations.
The whole episode was great. It's not only making fun of crap startup companies who do practically nothing but also how companies will capitalize on culture or race just like the "Redskins." Native American people have found the name offensive for generations and asked them to change the name but they were always turned down. Now here, the "Redskins" feel they are being exploited and taken advantage of and are demanding the same thing Native American Indians asked them to do for years. They act like they’re victims that are being oppressed, referring to their brand as their "people" that must be protected. That's why there's a lot of battle and ritualistic music playing during their scenes to reflect this irony. It's all very clever and really funny.

This episode, "Gluten Free Ebola" and "The Cissy" are my favorite episodes of this season. "Grounded Vindaloop" is also good because it's a bit of a mindfuck. :D
I also want to recommend "Stupid Spoiled Wh*re Video Playset" from season 8 if you haven't seen it yet. It's one of my all time fav episodes of SP.

@@joshuahauser4308 I pretty much stopped watching after they introduced PC Principle. I think the shows lost a lot of its charm and lighthearted humor. Granted, they always did political satire but it didn’t use to be so oversaturated with it.
I like how they make fun of these Kickstarter projects, because even if they get to the desired goal, they are not obligated to deliver any product. These Kickstarters are always so scummy, so I never support them, sure they are probably some companies with moral standards who will deliver set product but they are also the ones who will get the bag and run away (I have seen it too often to trust these Kickstarters).

elementary school musical season 12 episode 13 is a must watch
This episode aired RIGHT after RG3 was benched for Kirk Cousins! In the commercial promo for the episode, RG3 is in the office with Dan Snyder. But they made a last minute change to Kirk Cousins!
The ending is perfect. Yesterday's pride always becomes today's sin as people never change and would forever keep going in the same circles of hate for no other reason than to "keep with the times". I say never change cause people are constantly hypocrytical and when it suites them they would flip on a dime when all the sheep turn.

For me, the interesting part more than the kickstarter thing is the entire fake moral situation and virtue signalling. Getting offended by everything, harassing and attacking others like bullies if they don't share your exact extremist opinion. This identity obsession has ruined a lot of brands and is making many people to lose their jobs.
The NFL boy thing is referencing to college football Penn State child sex abuse scandal, where the coach and college administrators protected Jerry Sandusky for years. They covered it up by not reporting allegations, pressuring people to stay quite and saying it would ruin the team if it came out. Some of those allegations were from janitors and players who saw it occur and reported it to the coach and various administrators. But if they wanted to play ball, they had to play ball with the cover-up.
So basically the Catholic Church. The depressing part was the number of Penn State fans who wished it had stayed covered up instead of "ruining" their team.

The Washington Redskins is another example of why you can’t be jumping ahead in seasons because you’re missing references and backstory please just watch season by season don’t jump to the new new episodes because your missing references so you’re gonna be watching episodes thinking what’s that about I don’t get it and then a week or two later you watch an episode and you’re like oh now I get it.
Or maybe announce which episode you’re going to watch next and then us original 20+ year South Park fans can say hey hold up a minute watch that episode first before you watch that one 👊🏻
Obviously, this is playing off of the idea that Native American culture has been continuously exploited in this country. That is why the Redskins football team is playing the part of the victims and their scenes are accompanied with native music. What happened with the Redkskins team is the same reason they don't do "the chop" any more at sporting events. While also commenting on how absurd crowd funding can get. You don't even need a cause, because all you really need are people willing to give you their money. Likewise with religious donations and the sporting organizations in general. I love the Goodell bot, LMAO! The hologram special episodes were actually the end of the season episodes but they kept the story running for the following season. Season 18 Episode 3 "The Cissy" is when Cartman tries to go transgender... in order to get his own restroom at school.

You'd be surprised how much money can be made from practically nothing. Look up the potato salad kickstarter, dude ended up raising like 55k after asking for $10 to make a salad.
The way the boys quit without any real fight, is just how the Redskins gave up their brand without a fight. Man I miss them in the nfl.
What fight did they have? lol It was inevitable no matter what. The world and society change, and some people refuse to. Which is their right, but you have to accept in an ever changing society that if you remain stuck in the past, you will be the minority. And thats what made this episode of South Park pure genius in its satire. It nailed what I stated perfectly.

Start to finish I frigging love this episode. From the Parody of teams not changing insensitive names, to the NFL blasting, to the unnecessarily brilliant Jerry Jones jokes.... Great stuff my guy! Keep up with the season but for another hilarious NFL episode (featuring Randy and Butters) check out the episode "Sarcastaball"
