There is none, at least, not anymore.
Goku and Vegeta's stories are finished, their character development has ended. They both have loving wives, beautiful children, and great friends/allies. In fact, most of the characters have already grown up. Tien is teaching the next generation of martial artists, Gohan has a family now and has given up fighting to care for his family, and Krillin has hair now.
These beloved characters have grown up and finished their stories.
I originally wrote a long lengthy comment worthy of a “🤓” related to how long the dragon ball anime has been going for. But watching this video, I for the most part agree. I think a reboot or focusing on a new universe would be amazing. The end part gave me a chuckle as well ngl. I also appreciate the fact that this video in my opinion, is actually pretty well thought out, and instead of just saying it should end, showed ways of giving it a brand new beginning, but still keeping it’s old Dragon ball charm.

I think you're forgetting dragon ball did end, and the only reason it came back was toriyama brought it back with the movies and dragon ball super to save the reputation of the franchise after the disaster that was hollyweird's dragon ball evolution movie which toriyama and the fans despise. also even when it did end, dragon ball online and dragon ball heroes were still a thing. also theres too many new things going on to expand upon both in the manga and the anime for them to end it right now, like ultra ego, goku's new version of ultra instinct, gohan beast, orange piccolo, black frieza, we need the transformations and lore behind them to at least be expanded upon like how super saiyan blue was before we even think of having dragon ball end. also theres actually plenty of lore they could use for their story, if they decided to make elements from dragon ball heroes canon like towa, mira, chronoa, the time patrol.
Should've stopped at the end of Z, at this point it'll never end.

Its not been on for 40 years, anime content was over for like almost 20 years, it came back after that, one piece had been on for all that time and even now. And i wont say its a dip in quality that much that it should be stopped, the granolah arc was weak but moro arc was just like peak dbz and other arcs like goku black, tournament of power, even the broly and super hero movies were good and hopefully the upcoming black frieza arc sould be great as well.
I doubt it will given how much money it makes for America/japan sadly I never grew up with this franchise I just saw in 2015
They should take inspiration from fan mangas do, make goku take over champa's god of destruction position then maybe shift focus point over to Uub

The thing I'm sad about is dragon ball can succeed with very little effort when I know it has the potential to satisfy fans.I know I'm gonna start controversy with whomever reads this next line but dragon ball super was embarrassing, at least with hero's its meant to be forced fanservice and I know I get it it costs alot but lets face it one of the reasons of dragon balls success is the animation quality. I'm not expecting fate level animation every episode but in today's day and age, stock footage is a no go. The storylines are also kind of boring, where the stakes are so high now that we already know goku is going to succeed, it wasn't as popular in japan but as fans we love and miss the raw powerups and moments where other characters besides goku got to shine. The goku black arc was so hype then such a let down and I love this series.
I've said for a longtime that Dragon Ball should take the DC/Marvel approach. I don't think they need to reboot it but tell other character's stories. DC/Marvel can tell stories about Universal threats like Darkseid or Thanos but be just as interesting if not more telling stories about street level threats and criminals with characters like Batman or The Punisher. Like make a spin off for Krillin and his life as a cop, or Yamcha being a baseball star. Or a prequel series of the Saiyans before their destruction
A reboot sounds like really good idea, I still potential in Dragon ball I'm not quite satisfied with I'm good since its exploring a multiversal concept, it needs to bring something new something different and close up loss ends within the story, I personally want other characters to get a story like Braddock I want to know why is he the way he is, why isn't he ruthless, you know
Dragon ball should have ended with Z with the Dragon ball manga actually written by toriyama Super isn't even part of the orginal story and doesn't have the soul of it.
well i believe db should not end now since its only 40 years old we see disney running still and its about to be near 100 years old and you are right about some stuff here like theres nothing new but they are just gonna make some random villain and us the fans will still like the show the manga the villain and everything db related but i respect your opinion
I'm also a fan of the show, hell, I think I'm one of those guys who almost only watches DB, although I have been looking to other animes lately. That's because it is getting old. There's not really any big consequence because we know the Dragon Balls will fix whatever damage has been done in the end of an arc. They also toned down the violence, blood and gore are practically gone. Long term to permanent deaths? Nope, just wish them back. From inception, the show is flawed because of those Dragon Balls, ironically. What was supposed to be just a gag anime is trying to be taken seriously but it's not working for me. The heroes are even being trained by angels and gods now, what more could you want? They have the best teachers the show can offer. If any new powerful enemy comes along they can just be trained up again to somehow overcome the new foe. There's so much plot convenience built into the story for the main characters that it feels so manufactured. I've seen better WWE plot stories written better than this.

I highly doubt Dragon Ball Z will end mainly because it's an incredibly popular anime and it's well known throughout the anime community considering many people grew up watching that anime. Sadly, I didn't grow up watching that because I was too young to watch anime back then.

Dragonball should officially end on it's 45th anniversary. 2029 is the best year to end this franchise. However, they have to make it end on a bang.
They did it before but I doubt the anime would end as for the games that’s not happening
I would have to disagree with reboots when it comes to manga. If there is one strength that manga has over comics is the consistency because it's just a single story canon. That being said, once something goes wrong, there's no way to fix it. Example, Toriyama is stuck in his ways and is unlikely to give Vegeta a clear win over Goku so that is something Vegeta fans will have to bear with for the rest of the franchise's existence.
On the other hand, having too many story lines and reboots, made by various authors over the years, can make it very confusing for new readers to figure out where to start. Which one really is the official canon? But the bright side to this is it allows the story to expand laterally and offer more exploration than having a fixed canon written by 1 or 2 authors, like in the case of Dragon Ball.
Is it possible for Dragon ball to be rebooted? Unlikely, it will probably just be continued by multiple authors over the next few years until it no longer makes money.
I mean Dragonball did end back in 96.
Comics is kinda a bad example since the constant reboots and no endings at a least with 99% of manga he has a beginning middle and end comics don’t.

I agree. There's really nothing new with this franchise. With what it did by introducing gods, it went too big too fast. Maybe if it gradually worked its way to god levels, Toriyama could have milked more from this but they pretty much rushed it. Plust, it's really the Goku and Vegeta show for the most part, we rarely see the other characters shine, let alone win a fight without Goku coming in to save the day. It's really gotten old. So it's best to end it here before Toriyama and Toyotaro wreck it beyond repair. The blunder they did with the ROF arc only shows how they fucked up. So much Deus Ex Machina to make Goku steal the win.
Too big too fast? Not really; they haven't show much of anything asides from ki blast and hair colors. There's way more things they could make arcs about, for example, demon realms, and going into other universes. Not sure why you guys talk like there's nothing left, db has never been more successful. If you want it to end or think there's nothing left, stop watching/reading it, it's that simple.

Fans got mad, new characters? Fans got mad. Can't blame dragonball for listening to what the vast majority of their fans want. You guys need to realize that Goku is dragonball, there's no replacing him; you can have Goku on standby for awhile, but having his story end wouldn't work. There isn't going to be another big anime that can replace db simply because db ends, because db has affected fiction and culture globally. V jump and toei are not going to get a bigger/better money maker.
@@SoloPanda1 I think the real mistake here is Toriyama tried to continue in the first place. If this was made as a reactionary response to DB Evolution he should have just left it there. He tried to replace GT but ended up making one that's even worse. Another mistake is listening to the fans, should have just gone with the original plan to go with Gohan. I get that Goku is irreplaceable but he's seriously an embarrassing main character because of how stupid they made his character. He still acts like a child and plays around. I like his GT version, where even after being wished into a child, he retained some maturity.
If their objective is to get Goku to appeal to a younger audience by getting him to act this way, this is the wrong way to do it. But I guess money speaks louder for Toriyama than integrity with his work.

Dbs has made more money and has better reviews than anything in the history of dragonball; no this isn't me being a fanboy, these numbers are all publicly available. As for whether or not he's taking it in the right direction, that completely based on ones opinion. As for maturity, gt really wasn't all that mature, people confuse sounding cooler with being smarter or more mature; in fact if you do a legit comparison, dbs goku has way more iq and mature feats/moments.
