Merseyrail's Final Class 508 | Liverpool Central - New Brighton

In this video, I take a ride on the last ever Class 508 service before going for scrap. This journey took place on 16/01/2024 between Liverpool Central and New Brighton
These trains had ran since 1979, initially for a few years down in Southern England until replaced by Class 455 and being transferred up north to run the last 43 years on the Merseyrail network, running along side the Class 507s.
After making this video, there is currently no longer any Class 508s in service. Only Class 507s remain with them also going soon, expected around May 2024.
