The reason you might have a mildewy smelling couch is because you wash it but don't let it fully dry. Adding vinegar while washing may help but you should research it.

wow i literally did the same thing, i was having a hard time and i distanced myself for a year, trying to heal but when i tried to see if i could be their friend again... it didn't really work. it's so sad even tho i tried to have no expectations yk but still love them. anyway its nice to see it worked for you, i love that.

Your couch is so nice … I wouldn’t replace it. Maybe try sprinkling with baking soda or carpet odor eliminator, let it set for a few mins and vacuum off. I also like to use fabric spray on my couches to keep them fresh. Hope that helps !

As a native New Yorker (from the Bronx and, later, Yonkers), it a great place to visit but, unless you’re rich, not the best place to live permanently. I would like to have a place to go to visit regularly since I do miss it, but I wouldn’t want to live there permanently. I was making six figures and still in debt. It is very expensive.

I was born and raised in NY. I’ve lived in 3 countries and visited 19. I always come back to NY. It’s different because I’ve always had my family to stay with when getting back on my feet but I do think NY gives me freedom and culture and life in a way that no other place has. I can’t describe it but I also understand why people want to move here. You should come! Even if for just one lease cycle.
The only thing I hate about my apartment is white stove. That is the worst color to have when you use it daily

If you want to try East Coast, NYC is sooooo much $$$$. Maybe look at Philadelphia? They have really vibrant communities, arts, food, etc. Prices are much better, and it's in a great place for travelling up and down the coast!
