    What works for me..
a plastic folding table about 6’ in length to tackle the rubber mats correctly.
Put it on and clean both sides and let drip dry.
Only adds to the mess by cleaning the inside and putting the mat back inside and cleaning again.

I use to work for uhaul out here in Jersey, and they had us employees clean the vehicles after the customer we’re done with them. All we had to do was just clean the floor, dash , cup holders and windows . Blow out and mop the back of the trucks and vans. Real simple..

I’m currently in a similar situation, working as a detailer/vendor at a dealership. The whole portal thing sounds like a hassle, but once them direct deposits start hitting….it’s a wrap. Keep up the good work. From my experience I usually don’t spend too much time “detailing” considering where I am and the volume of cars I touch in a day. I always make sure to charge detail prices outside of this workplace, and provide high quality details to individuals.

i do contract work for uhaul (e-vendor) and at first i was like meh, but after consulting with admin people and they told me how to properly bill them (break the invoice down for everything.... miles.. time it took to drive those miles.... call out fee..etc) and my billables for each truck literally doubled. And the actual work is FREAKING EASY.. i wont spoil it for myself. but everyything is given to us to do the job. literally maybe 5-10mins max is netting me around $350-$450+ depending on distance per dispatch, Literally more than what my retail customers pay. Im consdiering trying to get an exclusive with them. if they dont drop me too much on pricing. since all the overhead is all done for us. its great money.

I got a couple of small fans ment for floods at home depot for $100/each. They definitely pack a punch and would help dry before u put the mats back in. You don't want mold to grow underneath you should dry completely. Sometimes the sun is hot enough you can air dry but I prefer the fans to speed up the process. Much respect

Pressure washing the inside of those van creates more for you. You will have to blow it out with air first. Spray and wipe down the side of the van. Then, clean the back. If you spray water you will have to get the water out and wipe down. Work smart not hard.
Also, be consistent with your work. Trust me know it's hard work, but they won't pay you the big bucks if you work wasn't great. Keep Grind! Stay Positive! 💪 💪

Wise words of detailing guy on you tube:
A detailer is still a car-washer ,and a carwasher is a detailer at the end of the day.
I would do a “mini -detail” ,not alot of dressing or detail sprays, they dont look for specific details, but want the cars to be presentable
To uhaul clients, always report any damages before hand so they dont blame you, and just get in there do your thing and get out. They will keep calling you back for sure!

Hunter do you mind explaining how to go about getting work from places like U-Haul. Bc in my region U-Haul hires detailers full time but I’m looking to be contracted by a business just as you have I just don’t know how to go about it. Just looking for advice since your videos have always been detailed 😂 (lol obviously bc your a detailer) & helpful! Thanks & hope your gains keep skyrocketing fam🙏🏽

What would you do if you were in a state where there was snow? How would that affect you? Would you only work on nice days? Stop working?

on the van rear cargo floor mat, could you just do the top half laying outside the van both sides, the dry it, switch it around so the bottom half is hanging out the back and do the same? not sure, just trying to give you an idea at least to start with. or half one side then the other side.

You went the extra mile taking that floor liner out .. personally I would of left it in the van that's just to much unnecessary extra steps!

If they give you constant work maybe $250 is the magic number.

I have a suggestion! I would bump the price down to maybe $180. I wouldn't go huge into detail because these vehicles are basically work cars. I would try to get done within a hour to hour- 15min so your making close to $180 an hour by yourself just incase the helper isn't there and your making that money..That being said if you do have to hire a helper. You really wouldn't have to show that person much to learn how to clean uhaul vehicles. Its very basic and its not hard money and less on the job training. So if you knock out 6 vehicles you just made close to $1100 without even putting in drive time and hard sweat. The more money Uhaul gets to save the more advertising it looks for the other locations to hire you. Need to eliminate that drive time. Drive time = loosing money. Oh and one more thing. Getting Commercial work is way better than dealing with the public

I watch all your videos just keep in mind to give them a better rate if they will be giving you at least 15 details amonth to not lose consistent $ flow. Just my opinion
