RISE League-Sports Matter Grant 75 of 75

In central Florida, two brothers are helping at-risk basketball players RISE above their circumstance. Dwight and Dmitri Thompson founded RISE League in the Orlando area to show hooper that the skills they learn on the court can be instantly applied to the business world off of it. The program consists of both a competitive league between the end of summer and the start of the HS season, as well as an intensive business training course that exposes students to professional resources and opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to experience.
To celebrate our 75th anniversary, The DICK’S Foundation is honored to award RISE League with $75,000 to help the program continue to show how #SportsChangeLives
