  • My long-term review of the Fujifilm XT4. I have owned this camera for more than 2 years! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to buy their first Fujifilm camera.
    The XT4 was released on April 28, 2020. To this day, it's still a very capable camera and will be so for the next 5-6 years.
    In this video, I talk about my 2-year experience with the Fujifilm XT4 and showcase some of my favourite portrait and wedding photos I have captured so far. Plus I do a little bit of videography too!
    If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment!

    Dude. I have been researching my next (and first) high end camera after years of shooting cheaper bodies.. I have literally begun losing my mind at the horrendous, fast paced, jump cut reviews for them all . This was SUCH a delight to find, lovely pace, relaxing, aided by your absolutely spectacular imagery. Huge thumbs up from me, be great to learn about the type of lenses you use for the x system! Thank you.

      I'm happy to hear that this video was to your liking! The lens I have used are the 35MM F1.4, 56MM F1.2, and 16-55MM F2.8.

    Awesome review and great photos. I am a hobbyist and while many of my peers upgraded to the X-T5, I opt to grab two lenses instead, the 30mm F2.8 Macro and the 56mm F1.2 Mark II. I've had my X-T4 since 2020 and is still going strong with it heading into 2023.

      For me photography is form of meditation and therapy. Recently I bought second hand xt4 for about £1000 with 12 months warranty. I still keep my xt2, xe1(first gen xtrans have amazing colours) and omd em10 mk2. I was tempted to get xt5 buy I opted for previous model due to price. In addition to my Fuji cameras I'm hoping to get at some point of 2023 second FF camera. I'm leaning towards 6d mk2, d750 and Pentax k1. Why FF and Fuji? Low light capabilities of FF can’t be beaten by apsc.

    Omg your color grading is amazing! Quick question though - how do you find XT4 IBIS? Especially compared to newer cameras - I see you also shot with XH2. I have XH1 and while I know it was Fuji first attempt at IBIS I saw some early reviews of XT4 back in the day and it looked like some issues (like for example occasional sudden huge shift while trying to pan) persisted.

    • @lee.ronin.photography
      @lee.ronin.photography  Před měsícem +1

      The IBIS on the XT4 is great for static shots. Ya, unfortunately the issues you mentioned is still there for XT4. I do find it less apparent on the XH2!

    Lovely footage Lee … Beautiful colours 🙏 … some advice please if you have time ? Want to venture into Fuji … xt 30 ii , xs 10 , xt 4 or xt3 ? I believe the 3 or 4 would be best as I’m unlikely to do video ? Thanks Gary

      I would definitely go with the XT3 as your first Fujifilm camera! The XT3 has the same 26MP sensor as the XT4. Big plus it's lighter and it keeps the tilt screen. You can easily snag a used XT3 little under 1k CAD.

      What's the battery performance comparison of the two? Obviously the 4 is larger but has it really improved much?

    • @GJSsongsmith
      @GJSsongsmith Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@SimbiusStreet so far I’ve not really had any problems . The 4 is better and I can shoot a long time with it before re charge compared to the 2 . However I have a spare 2 battery with me if I’m out all day with that … hope that helps

      @@GJSsongsmith biggest complaint I had with the fuji x100t was battery life, had to carry around 4 extras just to handle shoot for 3-4 hours

    if you could have only one lens for portraits, to begin, wich would be? im thinking about the 33mm. can do portraits and full body. Obs: im using the xs20 with sigma 18-50 f2.8

    • @lee.ronin.photography
      @lee.ronin.photography  Před 11 měsíci

      That’s perfect! The 33mm is able to give you good compression and still give you more space to play with for portraits!

    Do you feel like like 35 1.4 is superior image quality and worth the extra cost to the f2? That extra stops don't really concern me, more so the image. Your work is stunning!

    • @blizzbee
      @blizzbee Před 10 měsíci

      The pictures from these two lenses are significantly different!! even shot at the same aperture... i shot both for quite some time and keep the 1.4 😊 it's so sweet&painting-ish while the f2 is more like precise&direct.

  • @guidon.5413

    Regarding sensor size: a Fuji APS-C sensor is about 42.7% of the size of a full frame sensor (sensor area).

    • @akanbilincoln1307
      @akanbilincoln1307 Před 8 měsíci

      What is that supposed to mean?

    • @guidon.5413
      @guidon.5413 Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@akanbilincoln1307 The video claims "it's 30% smaller than full frame", which would make it 70% of a FF sensor. Which isn't even close to the truth. The sensor area is only 42.7% of FF as I said above. Note I'm saying whether this is good or bad, it's just inaccurate. Sensor sizes all have advantages and disadvantages.
