- A documentary on the life of English rock star Peter Doherty, and his struggle with addiction to hard drugs. Director and musician Katia deVidas, who is also Peter Doherty's partner, filmed the artist over a period of 10 years. Now, this raw and intimate material is the source for the 90-minute film documenting the Libertines singer-lyricist’s descent into hell just as his popularity was peaking. Through the artist's own words and emotions, we experience Doherty’s courageous, and often poetic fight to overcome his demons.

Peter's art just makes life better - I love the melodies, the clever lyrics and his creative freedom while performing on stage - in many different incarnations and with various musical combos. A wordsmith and a true gent. Nothing less...

Pete Doherty is a genius. Has made such an impact on so many people’s lives. A shame he hit the big time when tabloids were they’re worst in the UK….he was the perfect poster boy for them to target- talent, drug user and a supermodel girlfriend. He’s always been a true gent when I’ve met him. Big love and hope this new Libs album gets the credit it deserves 🖤

@@FrancoBegbieT2 Pete's friend threw Mark Blanco off the balcony. Pete was involved in helping and covering up the murder. Pete's friend confessed to the murder and later retracted his statement. Either way, what did Pete pick up next to Mark Blanco's lifeless dying body when he stepped over him in the street to run away? Why didn't Pete ring an ambulance and stay to help and comfort his dying friend?

Peter is a one of the last true analogue Creatives that em race the pen and typewriter. I hope Hes seen the clips of his self in in Thailand, no Wanker acting for the camera, a bright funny young lad. Colour in his body, clear eyes typing away. A wicked sense of humour. I know this has years of capturing the up and downs of fame and addiction but as a crack & heroin addict all (well since 18 with art rather than mucic) you'll see a kind and fun chap that would be a loyal friend. The creative and or how fun, turns him from a poet of Victorian times.to a decent/humoress bloke. intelligent Peter please try. You're a dick on the hard and soft and crack is sooo hard to kick...those UNREAL CRAVINGS. I LOVE the new wiser Peter. Your art work is amazing. Keep at it. Love for an Itsh Libertines that had that romantic notion of days or yore. It's possible. I'm rooting for you and come stay in John Lennon s island with me. hard to believe his french wife filmed all this disaster and still is his wife. as a heroin addict myself, 20 years clean, i learned in rehab the negative power of compulsive helping and co-dependency. man is clearly talented but sadly drugs derailed him and unless he gains sobriety will never survive. she should leave as soon as possible to preserve her life and their daughter’s. a terrifying documentary

Going back to the house at a later date and recording a video about getting away with murder. That's enough.

Up the Bracket was a great first record, Graceland was a great first solo record, need I say all of the compositions Peter has written, don’t get me wrong Kurt and Noel are great in their own ways, Pete’s story is something that should be documented and I’m happy we’re getting to see that
Wasn't big enough or sold enough so no one really cared enough, need to change music and culture to be seen as iconic. There's no way you can tell me any song he's wrote will last forever and everyone knows the words to it but don't get me wrong he wrote some decent little dittys
