  • Masslift Africa take forklift health and safety very seriously. Therefore we created a health and safety video with lots of helpful do's and dont's on operating and driving a forklift. This video proved useful to anyone who bought a new or used forklift from us, so we decided to put it up on CZcams so that anyone could benefit from it.
This video covers starting the forklift to driving and maneuvering it, to loading and offloading, parking it and everything in between. If you follow these forklift health and safety guidelines your workplace will be a much safer environment for everyone.
We are suppliers of Mitsubishi Forklift trucks across Southern Africa. So for a New Diesel or Electric truck, a Used forklift or any other warehouse product, please visit our website to find out more.

Very helpful video, great tips for becoming a safe FL Operator.
Please clear the Tip # 17, it's put all the viewers in a big confusion. The tip is perfect when an FL operator carrying a load on the forks, always keep forks uphill when travelling ( 《《《《 ----- 》》》》) with a load on a ramp.
Please make part # 2 for your Tip # 17 with the title " Travelling On a Ramp without load on the Forks".
    Thanks ❤🇦🇪

The last part, you are supposed to get down from forklift from left side not from right side . your hand grip on left side not on your right side. You step of getting down doesn't followed the SOP.

Some fork lifts you can use either side but most are left side only.

It's probably not legal to keep using it unless you get a horn and a seatbelt added, get the handbrake fixed, and either a speedometer or a speed limiter.

Loaded forks always face uphill, unloaded forks face down.
The final dismount was awful, should use the three points of contact and be facing the truck.

0:30 DO NOT DRIVE WITH UNLOADED FORKS RAISED AND POINTED UP! CREATES A PUNCTURE OR IMPALEMENT HAZARD, 1:17 DO NOT DRAG FORKS BUT ALSO DO NOT POINT THEM UP OR RAISE THEM MORE THAN 2 INCHES TO AVOID PUNCTURING OR IMPAILING AN OBJECT, VEHICLE OR PERSON

When forklift is in park. Forks should be lowered plus have a slit tilt. So no one trip over fork blade. Thank you

The bit about the ramps is totally incorrect. ALWAYS travel with forks pointing down a ramp, unless loaded.

Is it possible to turn 45 degrees on a ramp if done very slowly, 15 degree slope. With a load.

    • @marionh8446
      @marionh8446 Před 3 lety +5

Never turn on a slope. Your center of gravity will be compromised thus causing the forklift to tilt over.

It depends ....reversing in 4x4 forklift you can (unloaded) either reverse or go in front ....but when loaded allways forks up the ramp .....we have jungheinrich forklofts and its fwd ...we cant go forward up the ramp ...wheels would spin off

Great Video Mitsubishi. Some of my Opinion towards forklift safety is, Focus on the following aspects,
    *Internal Transportation route*
    1.Adequate width
    2. Avoidance of blind corners and reversing
    3.Use of pedestrian crossings
    4. Regular maintenance of roads
    5.Separation of entry and exit
    *Forklift Driver*
Make sure they are licensed, having medical fitness certificate, attended site induction training etc.
    *Forklift*
With the Proper use of safety devices, speed governor, horn, flashing beacons, Falling object protection devices, ROPS etc.
I Too have posted Safety Videos in my channel, if you like have a look into it.
Thank you for your Contribution towards safety.
