I feel so horrible for Chris's loss. He must miss her so much, more than all us fans as much as we love and miss her. They had such a special bond and I'm glad he still loves and remembers her so often💕.
He misses her everyday he still calls her his wife and that he loves her and how proud he is of her he even said he loves talking about her I was watching the Selena vive tribute concert when him and the kumbia kings were performing Baila Esta Cumbia he was looking at the screen at her

when the producer said he skips the song "dreaming of you". I totally understand him. At one point, I stopped listening to it because I felt like crying 24/7. The Lyrics and her voice make me so emotional. When she says, " And I wish on a star, that somewhere you are, thinking of me too" I literally cry all the time when I hear it, I honestly wish I could time travel, and prevent that from happening. She literally is a role model, and a wonderful being, We love you, Selena!!!
I feel the same way, it got too depressing for me to listen to cause even after all this time, I still can't get over her death and the song just sounds like a foreshadowing of the fact that she would be gone and it's too much 😭

I know how Chris feels, as far as the notion that some people have that he, or her family, "let" what was done to Selena happen. That's insane. Her murder was the result of an evil act perpetrated by a coward, period. She, and she alone, is responsible. How anyone thinks that Chris or her family could have foreseen or prevented it is beyond me.
Agreed! How were they supposed to know that Yolanda would’ve been capable of killing someone that she claimed to adore and be “best friends” with her.

@@mrcool665 She's a cowardly, selfish psychopath who still lies about Selena, and what she did to her on 3/31/95, to this day. She's incapable of telling the truth, and has no remorse for her actions on that day. I don't believe she EVER really "loved" Selena - for her, it was just about being in Selena's "inner circle", and all that came with it. And, she couldn't care less about the pain Selena's family, friends and fans went through, and still feel, because of the senseless, cowardly act she committed. She still maintains that it was an "accident", but everything during her trial - from witness testimony with regard to how she acted immediately afterwards, to the fact that the gun she used was not a"hair trigger" type of a weapon that would "just go off" as easily as she claimed - proves that she committed an intentional act of murder. She will never, EVER admit that that was the case, however.
I agree no one could have imagined what Yolanda was capable of when she killed Selena but some fans get totally crazy and just want to put the blame on anyone other than Yolanda.

God called Selena to be with Him... I still cant get over the fact that they knew Yolanda had a gun and still trusted her, given everything that was happening around the time. Once they realized Yolanda wasn't the person she pretended to be, her having a gun all of a sudden should've been a red flag, and Selena of all people, should've been as far away from a gun as possible.
I think so too.. That her life was ment to be short. Couse she had such pure soul, like she was an angel. And she often said "I hope I will be alive" when she was asked where she would be in some years. Or she said she was thankful to be alive. And in an interview she said she hoped she would be remembered not only as a artist, but as a person that was a good person, good role model, and a person that did the best as she could. And she also said that the goal was not to live forever, but to create something that did. Almost like something deep inside her knew she was here for only a short time. All the red flags with Yolanda, yet she was so naive, or maybe to pure to think anyone could do anything bad. Maybe it was Gods plan she would be here for just a short time. Her soul was too good for this world.

Her death has always been heartbreaking. It was untimely. When I watched the Selena series on Netflix. The three scenes that crushed me was when the producer cried, her brother broke down crying and Chris on his bed alone. U just felt it. She is truly missed.
I was a child in school back then and I tell you when I heard about it that blew my mind that a friend would you know do that to you you know where somebody you know it's very horrible to think like that these days but again this is a perfect example you have to be very careful and that's why you hear people say they have a small circle because of things like this I just pray they never let her out of prison and I hope that this never happens to anyone else ever again cuz what's going to happen if they let Yolanda out of prison and she needs somebody else is she going to do this to someone else again

I remember her death like yesterday. I was in 8th grade at the time in Spanish class and hearing one of my classmates say OMG did you hear that someone killed Selena Quintanilla Perez and everyone was like What? No way it was breaking news and the whole south Texas area was in absolute shock. Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley i never liked Tejano music, but Selena was an absolute gem and talent that I could listen to. She lost her life at the peek of her Career and man ohh man it still pains me to this day what could have been. She and the Dino’s would have definitely been inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. God Bless you Chris Perez and the Quintanilla family. She changed the tejano music scene forever and she made it more popular than any other artist.
