    It's exactly what I was looking for, I live in a college and don't have access to my own workshop neither corn sacks and believe me, I don't have clothes or blankets I don't use, so I cardboard is my most accessible material. This guy's a genius, THANK YOU!!!

    I stack phone books inside a box. Make sure you don't shoot directly into the cover, but instead into the pages between the covers. Tie them with string really tight like bails of hay.

    Excellent video! This is a much better solution than all of the "$40 archery target!" videos that also require a thousand dollars of tools and supplies, but get their "$40" figure from how much some plywood and screws costs. I will definitely be giving your design a shot (pun intended) when I get my bow! :)

    I BUILT ONE, MY WALL GOT WRECKED. This is not strong enough to handle a real bow that shoots an arrow at 300 fps. if you add sand or strong foam like horse mat in the middle layer, it can become stronger. Alternatively you can make ballistic gelatin and stuff it in the middle layer, this would make it easier to remove the arrow.

  • @johnharland2336
    @johnharland2336 Před 4 měsíci

    I think this would be a great target but... There is no way that hand-held sling shot is anywhere near the poundage of a 30, 40 or 50 pound bow. The amount of material on the inside of the box might need to be considered. More importantly, this will never hold up for any length of time outside.

      It's not really recommended to shoot into stacked cardboard, but if you want to spend the money on extra tips, then go for it. Keep in mind he's using a slingshot bow(less lbs).. Compound bows have a minimum of 30lbs draw. I'm guessing the slingshot is roughly that or less.
