First of all that is absolutely ridiculous, And you are basing this information on what? Secondly MerCruiser is literally at the top of the food chain when it comes to Marine Engines! I own my own business doing Auto and Marine repair! I can honestly tell you that most of the time when a customer calls because they are having problems with either their engine or sterndrive I can honestly say that the problem was caused by either the current or previous owner, Usually because of a lack of maintenance or because they tried to fix an issue themselves earlier in which caused an even bigger problem!
