In today's video we take the 2000 TJ Wrangler off road on a Southern California OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) trail. This trail is 26.3 miles of desert road and rocky treacherous terrain - so it's not for beginners.
Bonus, this video was shot entirely on an iPhone 11 Pro Max (minus the drone shots).

It is illegal to use a drone in a national park.
Going to the southwest including Joshua Tree next spring, looks like a fun trail, ill have to go on it. SAny others in the park or nearby?

You think I can do this with a lifted 2WD Tacoma with BFgoodrich tires
Do you have a winch or another form of recovery gear?? Also maybe bring a friend? If the trail was close to a highway or something I would say go for it, but you can be 40 miles away from the nearest point of civilization and thats what makes me a little nervous for you.

Do I need any type of permit to go there?
Thanks for watching! You only need a pass for the park, you can either get the annual national parks pass (around $80) or you can get a day pass for Joshua Tree alone (around $30) this trail itself does not require a special permit beyond park entry.
The south entrance of Joshua Tree has no toll booth, free entrance!

Nice vid overall, enjoyed it, but maybe pan a little slower if you’re going to show us some scenery. Got dizzy a few times trying to see the surrounding. Overall looks fun, can’t wait to get out there 👍

It’s dispersed camping allowed there?.
Thanks for watching, the park has designated camping areas, but I took a look on the National Parks website and it says the following:
Backcountry camping is permitted in areas that are:
1 mile (1.6 km) from roads,
500 feet from trails and water sources,
not day-use only areas.
So you certainly could camp there! Best of luck

Unfortunately many people don’t know and that fellow off-roaders don’t respect our National Parks. Where it blatantly states that in all National Parks Drone Footage is prohibited.
Respect the environment, wildlife, and the parks system.
