really do like how they made Scorpions something to be feared in Terran Command

Scorpion in Terran Command : good range, good vision, well armored, high-alpha damge, good speed , good accuracy and spawning like crazy if it's Brutal mode. Pretty sure the devs love this bug
Starship troopers 2 had a budget of 7 m. 3 a budget of between 9 and 20m. Both were directed by z listed directors. 1 was directed by paul verhoeven and had a budget of 105m
Personally Starship troopers 2 is my favorite, I wanna forget the 3rd and have an undenable love for the first aswell
but damn with numbers like that I feel like all the budget in the 3rd movie went into the song that the skymarshal sang lol

The effects in this film are not good by any means, but it does clearly show the advantages of practical effects over CGI. Being a puppet, the Scorpion looks like it has mass and weight when it moves, which makes sense in context since it’s so resistant to gun fire, it’s armor has to slow it down. Plus it’s tail doesn’t whip around freely, it slowly scans and sways like it takes real effort, making it much more ominous and creepy. Also, when Rico’s underbarrel grenade hits the tail, it reacts in a pained way, and loses control causing it to miss its target ultimately saving Rico’s life. It’s a shame that the movie didn’t get the budget of the original because it’s clear the practical effects team knew what they were doing.

As they made more, the cg just got worse and worse, I assume because the budget got smaller and smaller, the original still to this day looks INCREDIBLE, so that compared to 2 and 3, and the rest is a no contest!!!...
granted the actual scenes with normal arachnids in the 2nd movie was limited but it still managed to look better than this thing

hold up... theres a starship troopers 3? meaning theres a 2 as well? after a quick google search i found out that there is 5, yes *5* starship troopers movies! this just blew my effing mind!
2 is more of a horror movie btw 4 & 5 are cgi animated
2 isn't as bad as everyone says. Just watch it once just so you know what it was. 4 and 5 are good. My personal favorite sequel is 4

i was just as surprised as you, and even more surprised to find out that there is not only 3, but 5 starship troopers movies, and 3 of them have the original Rico actor, Casper Van Dien in them.

For a frontline base their defense sucks. Literally 1 off switch and the whole thing went down.
Eventhough I like the same character in first and other starship trooper movies still they should've came up with a better idea storyline or whatever to make the movie good they gave the soldiers LAZERS instead of regular ammo? Then this movie they use regular weapons? I don't understand what they were trying to do

Bugs are dumb, they could have sent the flame bug and the bunker would have been toast in a few seconds, instead the send a stupid scorpion .
Tankers' acid would not quickly penetrate the area, and they are vulnerable to grenades and concentrated bursts, it was actually more appropriate to send the Scorpion plasma shooter
Because in addition to only being vulnerable to a large extent in the "sting" area, he also has more accuracy in attacks.

I wish they never did 2 or 3 until they have enough budget and good production team. Most I remember from those sequel was just how bad it was. First movie has so many iconic scenes while the sequel has none. Way to ruined the franchise!
Let's say it: Starship troopers 2 and 3 should have never existed
