Baby crow with bumble foot 🦶 is improving!

Our balcony crows had babies! They have been our friends for years, and they finally had babies this year! They brought the babies to see us and they are both so sweet but one has bumblefoot 😢 we could see his feet hurt him and he would sit and try not to use his feet. He would fall off the rail trying to land on his feet and barely walk on them. We introduced some fish mox (we have fish that needed It) in weight appropriate proportions. He’s on day 7 of his treatment and he’s already so much better! We also initially put down cayenne pepper on their table for him to walk on as it is said to releive pain for birds.
If you have a bird in a similar situation look into the backyard chicken community and there is lots of great info, just remember a crow (especially a baby) weighs far less than a chicken 🐓 so any treatment must be adjusted. Follow this link for great treatment advice
