Salphur powder is added to detect bile salts because it reacts with bile salts to form a characteristic reddish-brown color which indicating there presence.

Wsallam. Normal range bile salt ki urine me < 10 micromol/L hoti hai. Agar range me nahi dia gaya aur just positive dia gaya hai to liver me masla hai phir.
