I haven't done this myself, I always use a Griffin, but a few of my friends do it and they are ninja af you can easily out maneuver and outrun a wyvern lol
So, not sure if my comment will be seen or if anyone else knows this, BUT! I got max lvl maewing, bred it and got a I think it was lvl 230 from breeding after lvling? Anyways, I went into the wyvern trench, into a nest crevice and a wyvern flew into it with me and kinda trapped me in there. I noticed it wasn't doing too much damage to be all things considered and thought it was a low lvl wyvern and just used my belly flop attack on it. Killed it with a little more than half life still and it was a lvl 170 wyvern... Opened my eyes to the possibilities of wyvern murder fest for if nothing but too low of lvl wyverns were in the wyvern crevice. I would steal their crappy lvl egg and wait for them to come to me so I could easily whomp on them when the get stuck in the egg nook with me, heh. Then wait for higher lvl wyverns with better eggs to spawn. Maewings are OP.
Not sure on the feeding a baby, but I think it can nurse them - If you don't want to tranq a female wyvern you can always just use a snow owl or daeodon and heal up the baby when it begins to starve and there is a calculator you can find on google for the time until it will begin to starve :)
I gotta say not because of hate but u were pretty bad whit the maewing as long as u get a distance and avoid them then they will eventually stop following u + u didnt use the full potential of the maewing

maewings are currently broken as fuck, you can literally avoid pvp, its super fast

It can only feed the baby if the milk is in its inventory :)
I find a ptero better and safer. Just make sure there’s no wyverns lol, grab an egg and run

I believe you should hold space or whatever your platforms jump button is on. :)

yeah ik, this was when I first used the maewing just after they were released so I had little idea on how to use it yet :)
