      Yes Twisting Wounds is the mutator for my primary.

  • @liesiontheir

    I'm currently running a similar build but with a bit more crit
    Archtypes: Challenger (prime) with the Rampage skill for more damage and the prime perk for survivability. Hunter with Hunter's Mark as the second archtype for more crit chance which synergizes with Twisting Wounds and in turn, Energized Neck Coil.
    Primary: AR with Corrosive Rounds (Corrosive Rounds give crit chance instead of the flat damage from the Hot Shot mod) and Twisting Wounds as the mutator (Twisting Wounds procs bleed on crits, giving it synergy with Corrosive Rounds).
    Melee: Krell Axe with the Misfortune mutator (Misfortune provides an 8% damage bonus for every elemental status an enemy suffers from, and also applies slow on the thrown charged attack).
    Secondary: Hellfire SMG with any mutator, but I happen to like the one that slows on mod use. I like using the Hellfire rather than a non-boss weapon with the fire rounds mod because normal "shots" procs the burn status.
    Amulet: same as the video, Energized Neck Coil
    Rings:
    1.Timekeepers jewel
    2. Probability chord for crit damage
    3. Blood Jewel (this applies bleed on melee attacks, giving this build 3(!) status effects applied per axe throw
    4. Black Cat ring for more survivability. This, along with the Challenger prime perk, allows you to survive 2 death dealing blows. Black Cat ring only has a two minute cooldown, meaning you can often be dealt 3 death blows if the first one is dealt relatively early in a fight.
    You can also swap out either the Black Cat or Blood Jewel rings for the Akari War Band if you want more crit chance
    .

      Yeah now that you mention it I should definitely swap the corrosive rounds onto my primary. I typically have Nebula as my secondary, which is why I keep Hot Shot on the primary, but I should have made that adjustment when I switched to the MP60-R as my secondary. That's a good tip.
      I was not really sure how to evaluate stats that didn't directly increase my DoT damage, so I stayed away from crit and weakspot as I felt like the stats were too spread out and not focused enough and I would end up with a "jack of all, master of none" build, and so I decided to solely focus on "all damage" instead.
      I totally overlooked the melee mutator that adds slow. Maybe I don't have it and that's why, i'll have to check. I imagine its probably worth it to sacrifice the extra stamina for a 5th debuff. I definitely think that would improve the dps overall.
      I'm not a fan of Blood Jewel. I think the bleed it applies is weak overall and I think there are rings that provide more utility and dps to the build. Maybe if it applied poison instead I would reconsider, since poison increases damage to the target by 10% I feel like that's the highest priority status to get/keep on the boss. I'll probably keep using Alumni Ring or Burden of the Gambler instead.
      I am kind of obsessed with how useful the spells are from Alch/Medic. After playing with some of the other classes I never felt like their spells were super useful and I think in a difficulty like Apocalypse, having 2 more heal buttons, that activate faster than your relic, is really useful and has saved my ass more times than I can count. I definitely had a few boss kills that only happened because I had access to instant 100% shield, or instant revive.
      All in all though I appreciate your feedback and suggestions. I mentioned I don't think the build is optimized yet and I have already gotten a bunch of tweaks and ideas from you, as well as from a few other videos I have seen experimenting with this core idea.
      Thanks again for watching and I am glad you enjoyed it :)

      I think you might be right about blood jewel, but it is a fun gimick to apply 3 status on a melee. I was also thinking about changing archetypes, which your video and comment may have convinced me to do. I also think I'll switch to the ring that increases damage per status effect, so thanks for that. Cheers!@@originaldcg

      Just so you are aware, you can only get the Ahanae Crystal ring from completing Yaesha on HC. The way I did it was on survivor difficulty and I rerolled for "The Forbidden Grove" because that ensures you get Ravager/Doe as the world boss, and you can just kill the Doe instead of risking winning a fight agains the Ravager.
      Be warned of the little spiky bois though. I think I got killed by the 4 different times before I finally managed to make my way through the entire Yaesha haha xD

    Damn. I made a similar build that I was thinking of posting. This is pretty much it with some exceptions since I meant it for NEWER players on Nightmare and below..
    Medic + ANY class
    Triage, siphoner, spirit, vigor, and expertise being the only required stats.
    Replacing alumni for bright steel then using all leto 2 for easy survivability (you can easily rush the 10 worlds)
    Replacing Ahanae with user's choice. I chose sages for 10% xp while leveling a class (definitely not for new players since you need to get it through hardcore.)
    Still this is a great evolution for it.

      Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you liked it. :)
      I have seen a lot of "Leto II/Brightsteel" builds and they really aren't for me. I can't get over the psychological feeling of 1 of my ring slots enabling my armor stats, rather than adding to the cohesion of a thoughtfully crafted synergized build. The risk/reward of minmaxing the ring slots and finding other ways to survive damage (like the HoT from the relic I use) is more appealing to the types of gameplay my brain enjoys, as opposed to just becoming nigh unkillable :P

    • @originaldcg
      @originaldcg  Před 10 měsíci

      I was lucky enough to never get a boss with Elemental Res as an affix my entire run. If it did happen I think you can swap things around to focus on bleed damage. Abrasive Whetstone, Zania's Malice, Probability Cord have to come on, and then you could flex the other 2 rings. I'd probably feel most comfortable staying on Alch as a primary cuz I like the concotion/self-revive crutch, but at that point you could prob switch the 2nd class to Hunter or Gunslinger to boost ranged damage.

    • @originaldcg
      @originaldcg  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Yes it is still viable. None of the components have been changed since I released the video. It's definitely not the most competitive build for Apocalypse difficulty, but you can still beat it and it's quite fun :)

    • @originaldcg
      @originaldcg  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I made a note not to emphasize the armor aside from the fact my pieces total a maximum of 50 weight, allowing for medium rolls. Aside from that requirement, I picked my armor simply based on appearance, without putting in the effort of trying to min/max the armor/resistence values in each slot. Feel free to use whatever you want.
      if you do want my fit, the specific pieces used were: Void Skull (helm), Fae Royal Bodyplate (chest), Fae Royal Greaves (legs), Space Worker Gloves (gloves).

    Challenger gives up to 35% to all dmg so might consider that.

    • @originaldcg
      @originaldcg  Před 10 měsíci +1

      It does if you meet a range requirement, which is an important detail, but if you often find yourself within 10-20m of your enemies then go for it. If I had to choose a class to sacrifice it would probably be Alchemist, since you would also get the self-revive from Challenger's prime perk without having to activate it, however, I think the +10% dmg (that you only get sometimes due to range) is probably less valuable more often than having access to 3 additional concotions and 2x the duration. You would technically get "strongback" which would allow you to increase your armor DR a decent amount, but even if that exceeded the +30 armor you get from the concoction I am still not sure if it's better. Concoctions are really strong.
      I will definitely give it a try though once I start to get better at surviving on my own skills, rather than self-selecting for so much survivability via my classes and skills.
      Thanks for the tip and I hope you enjoyed the vid :)

  • @wonghow
    @wonghow Před 7 měsíci +1

    elemental damage is not much, neither is bleed, the health does not move at all. Only when you shoot the health goes down, that is gun damage. If you have elemental resist boss, those are useless. Is better to use raw gun damage. fire or corrosive is only 800-900 over 10s, 80 damage/s, the gun itself does more damage.
