- In this episode, we check out some of the bugs and glitches within Sonic Mania Plus, and even though a lot of the glitches were patched from Mania, plus opened up some new possibilities. Remember they are all Dr.Robotniks Traps!

While everyone else is making bad jokes in the comments I'm here to actually tell you how to perform this glitch....its very simple.
I recommend doing it in Encore Mode....find any shallow body of water and simply let the other character drown while you sit there and wait....
Then when they come back they'll have the weird moon jump, its reverted back to normal if they enter another body of water or whenever an act ends....
HAVE FUN!

It's really not that hard to edit, he just plays the game for a day or two and talks over it, really simple compared to other youtubers. And what does "the youtube review system" even mean
Overload dsnqha pretty sure it views your uploads to make sure you aren't uploading anything bad, or you'd get an age restriction warning.

The moonwalk glitch happens in normal Mania too. I did it when I was playing as Knuckles unintentionally. What I did was defeat the PGZ1 boss and move to the right of the screen. After that, Knux started moonwalking and I was like, “WHAT?”

Finally, this son of a glitch uploaded.
I remember finding a softlock glitch in Hydrocity Zone in Encore mode. I was playing as Knuckles, and I jumped inbetween one of the spinning pillars and the wall just before I would have been crushed. (Only the top of his head was touching the pillar) Instead, Knuckles actually just got pushed into the wall and I was softlocked.

I found an interesting glitch that would have the same effect with knuckles in Oil Ocean Zone, but this would only happen on version 1.3 of this game. (Super Sonic(or any other character) is needed for this glitch).
In any level that has liquid that you can drown in (Green Hill, Chemical Plant & Hydrocity), wait until the drown timer reaches about zero, then transform into super sonic. When you pause the screen, sonic can still be controlled. A lot of other things can happen with this glitch enabled such as...
-Spindash air kept still(unpause and the dash sound will play)
-Any fan fares played, the drowning music will start to play again
-Going through objects like bridges and doors
-No music(unless you get to a boss)
-No more super sonic until the next act or zone(or debug mode)
Just a neat thing I found out in my spare time playing this game.
By accident, I did that softlock glitch when I forgot that I was still in the water xD

With the big glaring exception of platform details (even if the glitches are cross platform he should mention that). And he normally includes these too, it's almost annying. But that's certainly not a major issue, but he did set his own standard.

11:49 you can do this in sonic mania too, when i watch this video and im thinking, "is this gonna work on sonic mania??" so i tried it and it worked, its a bit confusing to me
14:15 Fun fact: In the mobile version of Sonic the Hedgehog you can have Tails and the insta shield during a normal playthrough or in the Time Attack mode by choosing them in the Level Select screen and then getting a Game Over in the No Save mode, which usually allows you get the elemental shields anywhere in the game unless you decide to go back to the main menu by doing it manually.
In one of the first versions of this port you could also play as Sonic in his Super form but using his "regular" sprite set, Knuckles and Tails or even two Tails just like in this video

I discovered a glitch in lava reef zone act 2 in the boss so my knuckles and me walked to the two bosses and they triggered at the same time but some results could cause softlocks
I can’t wait to see more game glitches.
P.s. Abdallahsmash found a glitch to soft lock lets go pikachu. However when he found it he realized he forgot to save his game

5:00, I know, 4 years later, but the same thing works if you somehow make tails not shrink, you get stuck at the place it’s suppose to transition and sonic waits with a odd sound playing

You know, the glitches that use the secondary character can be done simply by connecting a second controller and moving the second character on to the capsule. You must not have very many friends, Andy...
I don't have any friends so I simply just bind the player 2 controls on the same keyboard. Works, but I feel sad everytime I do it for some reason...

I encountered a glitch once, At the end of Metallic Madness tails was off screen flying when I opened the animal capsule, Sonic froze in place when the transition cut scene played and tails was on the roof, It was weird to say the least

I actually found a glitch that messes up the transition to flying battery, all you need to do is either play in encore mode or in mania mode play as sonic and tails or with & Knuckles mode enabled, and when you get into the boss room, make sure the second character doesn't make it in the room. If they don't the glitch will be in effect. All you need to do is beat the boss and watch away.

@user name Puyo Puyo has nothing to do with Sonic. Mania is about celebrating Sonic’s past, so saying Puyo Puyo instead of Mean Bean is technically incorrect. To keep with the cartoon show analogy, that’s like saying Steamboat Willie was referenced in a throwback Warner Bros cartoon.

I actually softlocked the game in Oil Ocean Act 1-2. In Debug Mode, I placed a goal post at the right time after finishing the stage. After the transition cutscene played, the characters disappeared. The music was playing, but nobody was home. Bam. Softlock.
With debug mode, we can go into Studiopolis act 2 and in the thing you have to roll down, roll down a bit then use debug mode to enter the pipe. After that, Sonic will be off screen. Finally, if you turn right and spin dash right, you will level wrap up to the left. But if you spin dash left, you will level wrap down to the left.

Hey Andy, I found my own glitch that involves Super Sonic. In Chemical Plant Zone Act 1, there are these moving platforms (like the ones in the infamous drowning section), and if you do a short hop while you are on a part that is moving up, and activate Super Sonic, you will get stuck in the wall.
Tails has ascended into heaven.

I remember the giant character glitch happened to me in metalic madness zone, I was absolutely creaked out seeing the giant sonic.
Also, I'd guess that the reason that moon jump works is because you were in water, but you never left it, so some of the water physics are carried over, and knuckles might have had it because he died inside of water and respawned outside of it.
