Prototype Homemade DIY Great Bass Recorder ($30-40)

Bell note is C below middle C (=viola range). In this prototype, some of the pitches are slightly off; in the newest version this has been fixed. Fingering is largely recorder (fork or cross) fingering. See www.instructabl... .
Consists of 48+ inches of 1.5" nominal PVC pipe, some segments of 2" PVC pipe, and a number of custom 3-D printed components. Pads are made of thin foam.

Great idea ! I was thinking about making myself my recorder, but never really thought about using 3dprinted piece. Have you tried to make a key for the foot joint hole ? It would be great for the third octave !

Comercial 3d printers can be accurate up to 100 microns, and go anywhere from 400 to 6000. and even the cheap ones are pretty accurate.
