  • The best accessories for the FujiFilm X100VI. I highly recommend buying a few of these accessories before you receive your camera. Then you can put these accessories on the X100VI the day that it arrives so you can keep your camera pristine and protected. If you order these products after your camera then when you use it then it has a chance of damage. These accessories will increase the bulk and weight of your camera, no accessories technically keep the camera is light and nimble as possible.

      Hey! Awesome video! Was wondering if the WCL-X100 II work with the new 40MP sensor? Like, does it resolve well? Thank you!

      Mine is black like yours.
      I have the nice black Nisi chamfered shaped UV filter as it makes it more water resistant, gives some minor lens hood effect, and can fit the lens cap on too.
      Went for the Haoge small square hood, adapter ring and none branded cap (as good as Fuji’s) for the low profile to use optical viewfinder.
      Same thumb grip and wrist strap as you have but went with the Peak Design black Lite strap as it’ll work well with my other mirrorless Canon M series cameras and has lots of adjustments.
      Waiting for the new plate/grip as you have ordered and the official Fuji case mainly to keep it safe, light and usually in half case mode as it’s less slippery.
      Have a Canon protection filter to use with lens hood, if needed. Expensive but cheaper than Fuji’s.
      A Hoya Circular polarising filter HD nano mk 2. Very expensive but up to the quality needed for the lens.
      Then added in a spare Fuji battery and a couple of 128gb Lexar Gold cards (see Fuji site to check what’s compatible).
      So yes it’s all great, the camera is very nice, lens is superb on my copy as tested.
      Downside is I’ve blown about the same amount of cash as a new full frame Canon body…..ah well at least I can look like the Talented Mr Ripley’s dad 😂

    U should use the small piece of leather that goes on the triangle clip to avoid scratching your camera body...

      Thanks for the tip! I usually don't use my strap that often but I will put one on

    If you remove the lens hood but leave the filter and adaptor ring in place, does the Fuji lens cap still fit?

    Most important accessories for the X100VI. 1) extra battery or two 2) battery charger. Otherwise you’ve pretty much covered the list. I’m not that much into flash but a small one in addition to the build in one might be a good idea. If doing video a small mic would be smart.
    Ordered black X100 2/20 @0900 2/20 from B&H. Hope it arrives before the summer.

    • @KylerSteele
      @KylerSteele  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Protects the lens, allows for filters to be used, reduces flares and aesthetics!

    does anyone know if this will be available in stores at some point? I’m new to photography and this would be my first camera, so I’m not sure how this process works-i see people with preorders saying it’ll be months until they receive them! At risk of sounding dumb, will the camera ever just be stocked at Best Buy or something? Or is that not how it works? Lol

    • @KylerSteele
      @KylerSteele  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Theoretically it will one day. But preorders are already backed out a year depending on the store. The supply and demand will reach a tipping point but it won’t be for a couple years if that

      Strongly recommend you start with decent second had gear, see if you like photography, then think about the VI. You are talking about $2k+ for all the Fuji kit that’s been listed.
      For a great small kit a Canon EOSM3 or even M5 and Canon’s 22mm mini lens will get you 70 to 80% of the X100 VI quality for a fraction of the Fuji’s cost.
      Then get the excellent 11-22 IS Canon wide angle. That does great street and architecture work. Bet you can get the lot for about $700 or less. Canon RAW is easy to use too.
      Second hand Fuji XT 3 or 4 body and a small prime is also about half the price.

      @@andrewcrossley2448 thank you! that was really informative. since I posted this comment, a friend gave me his old canon g7x, and I've realized there's a lot for me to learn still (and I'm under the impression that that's considered a "simpler" camera anyway lol). I'm going to stick with it for a while until I can justify getting a fuji camera, because I will admit the film simulations are what originally intrigued me. In the meantime, I will try to achieve those results using my mediocre editing skills lol.
