The Illinois villain interpretation is on point. At its worst its all apathetically ruthless, cut-throat determination and betrayal. Id like to see the interpretation of the hero as well, though. The Wisconsin villain is also a good personification of its dark corners, too. I've lived there briefly and she can be a cold bitch when she wants to be one.
