- Tag along with a feisty dragon in Journey Into Imagination With Figment, an attraction that's fun for little ones in the Imagination! Pavilion in the Future World area of Epcot park, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, USA.
Journey Into Imagination With Figment begins with an invitation by Chairman Dr. Nigel Channing to attend an open house event at his prestigious Imagination Institute.
Inside his precious sensory labs, Dr. Channing sets out to prove how the 5 senses-sound, sight, smell, touch and taste-capture and control the imagination. But much to Dr. Channing's chagrin, the playful purple dragon Figment has joined the tour, too.
Full of mischief and music, Figment derails Dr. Channing's sound experiment, screws around with the sight chart and causes quite a stink in the Smell Lab.
Taking over the tour, Figment leads you to his whimsical upside-down house where, from this topsy-turvy perspective, he proves that imagination works best when set free.

This ride is a must for me everytime we go! My husband knows that I will not leave Epcot until I have ridden this...and our daughter is following in my footsteps with it :)

i rode this a while back i liked the tribute at the end to how the ride used to be ((or so im told))
I love this ride. Its not a thrill ride and it does not have any amazing special effects, but when I'm done riding it I feel warm and fuzzy, and just down-right happy.
To me happy beats thrills every time. :)

I go on this ride every time I'm in Disney World. It's not as good as the original version, yes, but at least we have Figment back.

When I was little....I was absolutely amazed by this ride. Now, looking at this video as a young adult, I question what I was thinking O.o Did this ride change or something? I remember the butterfly but I don't remember the dinosaur.
This has been heavily modified since it first opened. The version seen currently is the third incarnation of the attraction. The first version (1983-1998) is the most fondly remembered version, with the subsequent versions getting mixed to negative reviews.

Disney needs to cut their loses, destroy this ride and rebuild one that is more suitable for EPCOT, such as a revamped Horizons or more innovative attraction.

Wow, they made Figment really annoying and made the ride boring. I'm glad they kept the ride and the song but they really need to re-do this (again). The Figment animation looks cheap, get the Pixar people on that. And for a ride about imagination, it really needs more...imagination. Do something clever and unexpected!
