On modern computers that data will be taken up by chrome and the os but the Xbox had a very light os and if we think about it, 512 MB is q lot of data I mean, you can fit the entire Gameboy and Gameboy color library on that
it doesn't have to run microsoft windows, ipad can run genshin impact high settings on 3gb of ram something totally impossible on pc
It's still very good for a 2005 console

The old loading screen is actually better than the Loading screen from Xbox one and ps4

not really, it was made around the hardware of the console, so it compensates accordingly.

It's funny when people are always like "How the hell did GTA V run on the 360/PS3?", but what those people don't understand is that Rockstar actually updated the graphics for GTA V when it came out for Xbox One/PS4/PC.
The 360/PS3 version ran on the 360/PS3 as well as it did because the graphics for the 360/PS3 version's texture quality/model detail is so low compared to the Xbox One/PS4/PC versions and the 360/PS3 version was capped at 30FPS. Running GTA V on the 360/PS3 is like running GTA V on integrated graphics on the PC, so imagine running the PC version of GTA V and running it on the lowest graphics settings, DX10 instead of DX11, 1280x720, 30hz refresh rate and frame scaling turned on and that's exactly how GTA V looked and ran on the 360/PS3.
Rockstar had to work around the limitations of the 360/PS3 and the reason GTA V runs so well on 7th gen consoles is because it's a 7th gen game that just happened to get ported over and remastered for the 8th gen consoles.

antiliasing and distance scaling is so bad i have to say, but at the same time the fact that a 2005 console can run it and have a decent experience is pretty impressive

now this version can be played on xenia with upscaling and anti aliasing too, a dream coming true, and weights only 16gb total!

Wow I own the Pc version but after seeing this now I'm considering buying a copy for my old 360 for preservation purposes.
Personally I like the old graphics pre-PS4/XBOX1 upgrade, 30fps is not that bad for that gaming era either.
My ps3 appeared in 2013, then the ps4 was already out. This was my first console. I took it precisely because of GTA 5 back then). Having then only an old laptop on which nothing went at all, after watching those trailers for GTA 5, then in principle I did not believe that there could be such a level of graphics). And so I bought a ps3 3 and my first game on it was gta 5. I didn't really believe it then. Firstly, I was fucked up purely from simplicity and accessibility. I just inserted the disc, waited for 20 minutes and played (again, after my laptop, it seemed like a miracle). Well, secondly, of course, from the graphics. The graphics in GTA 5 for ps3 are simply divine. Even now, sometimes I just go for a ride, and I still can't figure out how they were able to make such a game on that hardware. In short, he played without fail. And when last of as became my second game.....well, I think comments are superfluous here. My favorite generation)). If you have an xbox 360 or ps3, I recommend trying to play. I don't know what the developers did with the PC version, but the lighting and colors are much richer on the ps3. And there is no annoying background blur.
