- Welcome Back, In this video we take a look at some of the things wwe 2k15 did better than wwe 2k23. I don't hate wwe 2k23 and i'm not a fan of wwe 2k15 but i have to admit there were some features that were in 2k15 which i think need to be back. Let me know your oppion,like and sub if your new.

I still can’t understand why people didn’t like 2k15, I loved it just as much as the SVR series and the previous wwe 12,13 and 2k 14 games, the graphics were a huge treat too
Id say it was mostly cause there was less match types and career mode was lackluster. I had 15 on ps3 and loved it tho
The creation suite was really limited that’s why I didn’t like it a lot.
It was awful on ps4/Xbox one, had barely any match types or creation options, it was buggy as hell, and had a terrible career mode. The only good thing was showcase mode. Even on the ps3/360 version (which was very similar to 2k14) Create a story and Create a finisher were removed.

It slowed the gameplay down, so I can understand why some players didn't like it. AEW Fight Forever has brought it back, only it's much faster now.
@@Rocket1377t's only the beginning of the match and it was optional to turn off or on. Why take away so many sim aspects when you can just go ham on Battlegrounds?
Maybe if they put some effort on that game and made it good, they wouldn't have to take away things from us sim gamers.
Edit: I forgot to mention that even if you turned it on, the opponent doesn't have to engage in it. He can just attack you immediately, completely skipping the chain grappling

The fact they added tired finishers back in but made you get up immediately after is so 2K
I feel like I’m the only one who actually enjoys the transitions from gameplay to real footage, and back to gameplay. 2K23 kinda stepped back since there’s not narration, but at least with 2K22 it was so hype seeing you pull of moves and how smoothly it transitions to the real thing and then back it really drives home the point that you’re playing the actual matches. Some of the older showcases are cool but it just feels more like a road to wrestlemania or universe mode how the cutscenes play out.

The thing that frustrates me the most about 2k23 is the fact that I have to grapple my opponent then hit a move. It would be so much better if we could have the option to choose between simulation mode (2k15-19) and arcade mode (2k22-23)
I hate that we need to do a front face lock in order to irish whip. A front face lock before doing a carry move. It’s stupid.
Collar & Elbow tie up done beyond the beginning of a match is crazy unrealistic.
However, there's a workaround where you can make it obsolete (not online)
if you wanna do your grapple moves USE THE COMBO SYSTEM instead. You can be like kick, punch, then press grapple and it'll do moves without locking up. You can fit a whole move list on it.
To avoid lock up for Irish whips you have 2 choices... assign hard strikes like a forearm shot that have knock back, it'll make him fall on the ropes or corner, from there you Irish whip. You'll still have to initial grapple but it won't be the Collar & Elbow
2nd method is grapple from behind, then Irish whip. It'll be a waist lock and when you Irish whip there's an animation of a forearm to the back before he Irish whips.
Some times we cannot pickup our opponent and throw them that’s what I want in wwe 2k22 and 23 but other than that it’s better

I liked 2k22's showcase WAY better than 2k23's because the cover star actually commentated during the cutscenes.

Hey, there's also another thing you can do in WWE2K15 that you can't do in WWE2K23 and that is do diving finishers off the elimination chamber pods. For example RVD, Five star splash but in WWE2K23 you can only do a diving splash.

I was mad confused and angry that I couldn’t swanton bomb off a ladder, and that’s one of the core moves of high flyers in WWE
On a side note tho running with ladders and tables is a bit busted, but the leaning ladders thing, while being in both games, is way better in 15, a slight breeze blows the ladder off the ropes in 23 and there isn’t much to do with it.

I'm glad they took out the running irish whips. Those aren't realistic. Wrestlers do not just run towards someone, grab their wrist, and spin them around into the ropes in real life. They have to be stationary to do the Roman handshake.

In 2K’s defense for chain wrestling and only that, a lot of people were saying that it was slow and annoying and they didn’t want it cuz they wanted fast gameplay and now that we have fast gameplay people want it back. AEW game is showing that a fun game with the element of wrestling is possible and it’s not one or the other like a lot of “influencers” and the 2K people think. I still believe if 2K20 would’ve worked and we kept that format we would have the greatest wrestling game rn
facts, i really dont like the controls, bc everytime i go back to 2k19 or older wwe 2k game it feels like playing a new release game
I believe if Yukes( the people that made the wwe games for a long time) had not left after 2K19, WWE2K20 would be a good game.
I hated the slow gameplay of 2k15-20, cutting facelock or rest holds didn't help, removing reversal and minimizing stamina limits helped.

2k 19 was great.I don't understand why they couldn't have used that as a founding base for this reboot instead of completely changing the game play making it impossible to pick up and play

They wanted to try a new control system. And I think they did a really great job with. Feels a lot more like an arcady game
Yes 2k19 was the sweetspot. 2k23 has better impact animations, sound, graphics. Only needed to elaborate on wwe 2k19
@@MonkeyDToniProductionsthe sim was amazing in recreating real matches. I get that some people like arcade play. For me is simulation all the way. They made it super fun in 2k19. Perfect.

The blood was much better looking in 15 than the trickle you get in 2k23

The thing with Showcase cutscenes is that it probably takes time away and gives them less time to work on other things in the game
The problem is they worked well on these ganes regardless

showcase cutscenes are so much better than having the wrestler narrate and show the real life version of the event
Yes we want to live the game feeling not from real life clips if I want to watch real life stuff I'll go watch on wwe network not in 2k23 bring back the in game cutscenes of showcase mode

My imagination or the animation speed for the 2k15 games just seem more normal than the fast/slow execution of alot of the modern day games
The Tired FInisher is so annoying in WWE 2k23. They could instantly make it better if we could crawl and pin.

I think it's the most lifeless entry of the 2K WWE games.

I’ve been playing 2K15 and I’m noticing these things too. Hopefully 2K notice this and implement some in 2k24
I really did like to chain wrestling but playing with my friends who got the WWE 2K just for nostalgic matchups rather than being modern fans, they really groaned on about it while I told them you could just turn it off, while at the same time I couldn’t help thinking “yeah a lot of people probably don’t like this” even though I enjoy it.
They know what they're doing. Introduce a hot feature and take it away 3 years later just to bring it back 10 years later and label it as "new". The tired finisher feature of 2K15, the TLC of svr11, and the online of WWE '13 and 14 all in one 2K24 package would be my ideal wrestling game that I would NEVER put down for years to come but THQ/Yukes/2K/VC will always dissapoint me with the removal of awesome features and introducing crappy ones like the poor mycareer of 2K22
When I realized all the stuff that got removed from 2k22 (gameplay wise) I started to prefer 2k19 again

2k15 and 2k19 better than whatever they make now
The stamina/damage system in the new 2k games stinks. I miss the fall damage of the old games where if you jumped off a ladder and missed you’d be laid out for a minute. Now you get up immediately. Same with tired finishers. In the old 2k games I was actually able to come close to recreating royal rumble 04 between HBK and HHH with both men staying down until an 8 count. That’s no where near possible in 2k23. Everybody no sells.
Go to settings first finisher put 50 next 60 and 3rd 90 they'll oversell
If a wrestler’s health bar is very low(below 50%)then for me they do stay down for a long time after a tired finisher
Man I miss 2kshowcase so disappointed they removed it from the other wwe games except 2k23 I think
they NEED to bring back chain wrestling
2K24 should add commentary and extra damage for moves onto weapons

NHL 15 and WWE 2K15 had some similarities- they were the first next-gen versions on PS4/Xbox One, had great core gameplay but so many things stripped. And they were from different companies too. I guess they were just focused on wowing us with next-gen gameplay and graphics.

Lowkey I’d enjoy 23 more if it had 15’s physics with the selling(minus the glitches) and 19’s gameplay instead of taking out chain grappling and tired pins entirely I would’ve had the option to turn it on or off cuz I actually enjoyed these
AEW actually does chain wrestling better than the 2K series with its faster rock paper scissors approach.

I wish this series would stop with the one step forward two steps back approach. They're supposed to be building on each installment but they end up hamstringing themselves and limping forward. I didn't buy 2K23 because of all the stuff they took out, but if they put it back I will consider getting 2K24.
