These videos are the reason why you should NEVER worry about continuing doing daily vlogs etc Adam. People may dip and miss a few and fancy watching one or 2 here and there. Viewings are always consistent from what I can see and You ALWAYS pull something like this out the bag. Keep making ‘em, we’ll keep watching ‘em. Looking forward to every NYC video now. Thanks!
You definitely get quite the view of NYC when you land in Newark. A friend of mine was a commercial pilot (former Air Force pilot) on 9/11 and was stuck on the tarmac in Newark when the towers fell. He saw it happen right before his eyes. The next day, he resigned from the airlines and went back to the Air Force.
The reason why you switched runways for departure from MCO: Frequently, almost daily, JAX Center had too much traffic going north from Florida to the Northeast in the middle of the day. So ATC implements flow restrictions. Rather than wait long for a “slot” straight up the East Coast, UA dispatch refiled your flight’s route to depart MCO and head northwest, usually towards Birmingham. Then, somewhere up over Alabama, the flight turns towards EWR. It maybe adds 15-20 min. flight time instead of sitting on the ground at MCO for an hour of more.
Loved loved loved this video! Never been to New York, probably never will! I’m 74 years old ! What a sight to see! Thank you so much for showing this! Doris &Doug Chattanooga Tennessee
Heck yeah! The Empire State Building! I got to go there when I was fourteen. Had a wonderful marching band director who planned a trip for the band students. Our itinerary was chocked full. We had no performances, it was just for the experience.
Correct. The cart with the flag is used to carry the casket/remains of fallen soldiers to and from the aircraft. Apparently, the connection was completely missed by ATW.
I really like these types of videos. I don't think I'll ever fly in my lifetime just dont need to right now but I love these from you. They're so relaxing and it shows me what to expect if I ever do decide to fly somewhere one day.
Hey Adam the reason you always see trash on the street in nyc is because when the streets were planned out back in the day they did not include back alleys in order to maximize each buildings footprint...so unlike other large cities at the time that included rear alleys providing a convenient place to put garbage for pickup, new york had no other option than leaving it on the sidewalk... looking forward to this week! 🤘🇨🇦🤘
I was hoping that you would go to NY one day.. 👍 Funny for me to hear, that you haven’t been there so much and your first time in the E.S. Building.. I’m a dane and I went to NY from Denmark in 2009, got totally hooked on that city.. and came back in 10,11,12 and 17.. saw 12 Broadway shows, David Letterman show and up the E.S. Building 4 times.. I love that city.. I’ve been in 32 states and many cities, but NY is my favorite US city.. 😍
I’d love to take you on a tour of Coney Island and the Brooklyn Bridge! FYI, I know all the cool folks in Coney and all the cool and interesting art in the city! 🗽
Chrysler Building is the one you can see from your hotel building directly infront the Empire State building is further to the left and further away in the background.
I was last in NYC in July 2001. I also went to the Empire State Building, and there was a huge line. Here's a sign of inflation, my ticket, which I still have on a pin board, was $15. It was a 2-3 hour ordeal to get to the top. I had a bunch of groups around me, like High School Drama kids, and Japanese tourists. I being by myself, stood out. A worker spotted me, pulled me out of line, and shot me express right to the top. It was awesome. I took several photos of the Twin Towers from up there. It was a business trip, I had an amazing flat at Chelsea Pier in a building my company owned. It was super swanky, 20' ceilings, bubble tub in the master, theatre set up. There was a lincoln town car inside the building, just behind a door in the master bedroom. The keys were in the bedroom nightstand. So cool. But I wasn't about to drive that barge in NYC traffic. I did get several dollar slices, and a hotdog from a cart while I was there, it seemed the thing to do. But I LOVED the Jamacan food! I'd never had fried plantains before that, it's what I really remember. Next time I go, I want to get a Chopped Cheese from a corner bodega.
visted New York City in 2015 by car from central California visited some friends in Clark's ville Tennessee plus the second time went on Amtrak towards New York left from Sacramento California.
As an outsider, New York can be so intimidating. I'm a small town guy, but the restaurants and the sites are just so amazing. I think NYC has better food than London, Hong Kong and Paris, as well. Great video Adam. Enjoy NYC!! I always stop in Queens when leaving the airport, (La Guardia) some of my favorite food in the city is there.
Don't let NYC intimidate you. You lower your brow, grunt and drive crazier than the cab drivers. That's what I do. No cursing or finger gestures req'd. Go Mets, also.
Have watched these NYC videos back to front but thoroughly enjoyed them. Thank you for taking us along and showing us what you see. Hope you have a lovely time 🗽
RI is great suggestion. Great city views and you can also get there through Long Island City, studios of their own like Silver Cup and Kaufman (Astoria) where a few Marx Bros. movies were made. The hospital is pretty crazy.
@23:30 ,nope ! You can arrive in either direction at EWR (Newark Airport) as the planes rotate approach several times a day due to either air traffic volume as well as the weather, I live directly under both the approach & departure flight path & it switches quite often ✈️
Can't wait to see this series. I remember when you were considering moving to New York. I didn't realize you've never really been here! This will be fun to see the city through your perspective. I hope you liked it
The united club is great when you have a long layover. They have free food, which is pretty good and free drinks. The united club in Germany had self serve alcohol, showers and lounge beds so you can take a nap. It was really nice.
There are restaurants on the river, in Brooklyn where you can get excellent photo ops of Manhattan in the background at night. Your also going to love Central Park! So much content you can film in NYC! We were there a week, and just touched the surface. You could spend a year filming in Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Manhattan! Wait until your on the subways! No eye contact, and you will see many different performances there, you can also get lost on the subways. Your going to love the feeling/experience, and when you get back home you will miss it. There’s no place so exciting as NYC! So much to see, and experience!!! 🍎 😊
Going to new York about 20yrs ago was the first time I ever saw car parks, with the cars kind of stacked on top of each other! I saw a glimpse of one in this vlog!
When you were looking over the edge of the Empire State building, I couldn't help but think about the people who were in the World Trade Center on 9/11 who decided to jump. Sure makes you think. 😔
Slam with Onyx and Biohazard was a good one. Went full circle with your trip to NYC. Hopefully you have some punk rock landmarks on your itinerary. CBs, L'Amour, etc.
Went to the Empire state building in 1972 I was 8. My dad took us to Canada For the solar eclipse and stopped by on the way back to NORTH CAROLINE. My dad years later told me about the taxi driver that took us way out of the way that made it more Expensive my dad did not argue and just paid the amount. Don't remember much but what I do was exciting. Keep up the exciting videos Mr. The Dailywoo
I’m so exited you are in NYC! I went there for the first time last October and had an absolute blast! I can’t wait to see all of your adventures. Have a great time!! 🗽
WHAT?! This is crazy. We just got back from our 1st trip to NYC on Wed night. We were there 5 days. It is definitely "a vibe" We went to "Top of the (30) rock, Central Park, Circle Line Cruise (Statue of LIberty), China Town, Little Italy, Times Square 2x, Grand Central Station, Natural History Museum, Nintendo, Disney & Lego store, more shopping, lots of eating and lots of walking till we couldn't move anymore. Still didn't see everything. Next time! We actually stayed 4 blocks from your hotel. It feels weird being back home (Midwest) I already miss it, your videos are helping us cope! Cannot wait to see more!!! ENJOY.
Looking forward to seeing your NYC videos! Visited with a school tour last summer for the first time in over 20 years and I can’t wait to go back. Getting from the airport to the city is the part that makes me most nervous, so I’m glad you found a great taxi driver.
If you're going to the Yankees/Rays game tonight, it's Star Wars Night tonight. They are giving away a Mandalorian-themed bobblehead of Yankees player Anthony Rizzo. I know you're a Rays fan, but I think you should show up early to get it because of your love for Star Wars merch. Have a good day and enjoy NYC from a NYC native!
I was in NYC for the first time ever a few weeks ago for work. I only had a few hours to wonder the streets and explore. We just had time to walk around time square then walked to 30 Rock to see it from the outside. It's a whole other type of experience. Everything was so fast paced. When walking down the street we were pretty much forced to rush down the street due to the huge crowds of people. Very different but cool place. Not somewhere i would personally want to live being at such a crazy fast rushed pace all the time but I would definitely like to return some time with more time to see everything on my own pace. I enjoy living outside big cities where its a more relaxed pace then i can go into the cities when i want to explore and experience the cities. Enjoy your time and games. Safe travels!!
You didn't see any of NY then. You went to places no one from NYC ever goes. You went to tourist traps. Go back sometime and see some other stuff. You'll enjoy it more :)
Yes! NYC is the best place for you Adam because it never stops lol. But honestly I’ve been going there since I was a kid and there’s something new to find every time. Enjoy it and think about getting an on/off double decker tour bus, it hits all the tourist spots and is transportation as well.
Oh wow I am so jealous of that hotel view. The Empire State Building is top of my bucket list, always loved it and one day I hope to be able to step out onto that viewing platform. 👍
The history of central park is definitely worth exploring. Outstanding museums surround it as well as carnegie hall. Been there many times. I went to high school in nys 90 miles north of nyc.

That cart with the American flag on it is for Falling Soldiers to be transported home or to their final resting place.
Yes I was on a plane with a fallen soldier once.
RIP 🇺🇸
What are you talking about?
Correct. The cart with the flag is used to carry the casket/remains of fallen soldiers to and from the aircraft. Apparently, the connection was completely missed by ATW.
Yea, I was thinking the same thing but I wasn’t sure. Sad if that’s the case.🌹
I’m glad you finally got to go up the Empire State Building. That place has changed so much in the 29 years since I went up there

Amazing city view from your room!! Great to see you in the NYC hustle & bustle and can't wait to see what else you cover. Big Daddy locations 😅
This time of year in New York is very busy. The whole city is out enjoying the weather.

Before the Empire State Building the Chrysler building was the tallest building

Adam, Roosevelt island might be an interesting place for you to explore. You can reach this island in the East River by subway or the Aerial Tramway

If you want a different view of the city from the water, book the "new york media boat". It's the best tour!
Or take the NYC Ferry for $4! Best cruise in town
