    Here's a simplified explanation of how to record a song on your computer. I go over the very basics of what type of microphone to use, which recording software to use (free), and which instruments to record first. Keepin' it simple, my friends.

      I'm on the same path bro. Great job.
      I'm a drummer but play a little guitar now.
      How about the "Boo Fighters" nah I should rehash my old bands name "KNUCKLE SANDWICH", always loved that name. Seriously though, I'm undecided on learning the bass and doing vocals. Definitely writing lyrics at least...

    one suggestion: Generally we record a scratch with the whole band together, then we go again with each individual instrument. At the end just delete the scratch and we r done :)

    Nice video for absolute beginners. I would just like to add, in place of the metronome track, the band can first try to do a "rough" recording of everyone jamming/playing the song as they would normally would. Doesnt have to be high quality, just good enough that everyone is content with the tempo, timings, etc. Then the drummer, or who ever records first can use that as a guide. That way, it would still be pretty organic, not too robotic like playing with a fixed tempo, and the drummer would have better idea on where he actually is in the song. That's because i have jammed and recorded some artist who sometimes use certain words in the lyrics as queues on what they are going to do next.

      GUSTTAVO AARON it’s free

    • @mauroacevedo1980
      @mauroacevedo1980 Před 6 lety +5

      Latency is not a software issue, your mic and or audio interface is not recording correctly sometimes the audio interface has a button that says "direct monitor" that gets rid of the latency instantly

    • @mauroacevedo1980
      @mauroacevedo1980 Před 6 lety +3

      also you can modify the latency on the preference tab

      Mayoor Rasiah i prefer Ableton live 9 but its subjective i recommend mastering audacity first tho
