David and Gillian's chemistry is unmatched- you can feel it from the moment Scully walks into Mulder's office. The creators of this show REEEEEEEAAAALLLLYYY lucked out when the chemistry between Duchovny and Anderson was instantaneous and ENDURED!
The relationship seems so genuine, not forced or scripted. But, very authentic. A great show, with great acting and great storytelling.
There’s never been, nor will there ever be, another Mulder and Scully and David and Gillian. Greatest love story ever told.
It was a maddeningly slow burn at times, but GODDAMN. 🔥

I like how he just envelops her when they hug.
Gillian Anderson's beauty through the first 9 seasons, to me, is like a classic...almost 1940's look. A beauty that no longer exists today...heck back during the show...making her pretty much impossible to beat!
Oh, I totally agree! She is STILL treasure to this day, and I'm glad she's found success outside of her role with Scully. I believe that was harder for her than it was DD, but she will ALWAYS be Scully, and he will ALWAYS be Mulder. I can't even describe how the X-Files has saved my life, but it's been many times over. And as much as Chris Carter gets on my nerves, I will always love him too for bringing these iconic characters to life.
@@jesscash6415 oh my God, yes. X files make me more open minded, and also saved me many times. Everytime when I feel really bad, I always can "meet" Scully and Mulder again, and everything is better. This show has so many seasons, that they are for me like family or something, I know them, I understand them, they understand me.

Man...I don't know...I don't know if I could have stopped/ruined that long, nine-year period of romantic/sexual tension, it was just so sublime. It's SOOO good they didn't spoil it but allowed it to become the most natural thing in the world. I don't think I'm wrong in saying all of us yearn for this kind of love...connection...COMPLETION.
Everyone refers to their sexual tension. False. It was their developing emotional intimacy, trust, loyalty, and dynamic spiritual connection, that was even more precious and endearing. This gave meaning to any sexual tension between them. Sexual tension in of itself, is NOTHING. Individuals can " shift and drift", as the Irish say, once their sexual curiosity of you, is satisfied.
@@DeniseEggertwaterlilyI'm not sure based upon your squiggling dialogue there but I think you might have missed my point here. What I was saying is that they didn't play up the sexual tension between them it wasn't really sexual there was an Allure but not like so many other shows where it's all hot and steamy. I think I'm agreeing with you here their intimacy was based on respect and trust.
This show is one of the reason why I want to be in the feild when I’m older, been watching this since I was 7, now no one knows this show exists, the story and the love and suspense make my life full

Cant wait for all this! I'm re-watching the show, loved it 20 years ago and love it even better now....so many things i didn't get or notice back then and SO many new datails for me to discover!!!... i haven't seen the last two seasons so its gonna be brand new to me.....i'm 33 now and i'm putting The X-Files right next to Game of Thrones in my personal list of favorites....the only good thing of this stupid pandemin.

A Godly Romance
I once saw a great romance depicted. This was an unusual story, not initially introduced as an affair by any means. And yet, as the relationship between the couple grew and unfolded, over a very long period of time, respect… consideration…trust…and even love developed. Love on many levels. Yes, there was attraction; but this aspect was not augmented in their story, almost avoided, because it wasn’t necessary to spell this truth out to the audience…for it was clear. And the deep, mutual love between the pair went without that absolutely deciding, altering dynamic of sexual or sensual fulfillment. It was as if this ultimate consummation of the couple’s love in a sexual manner would somehow destroy the beauty and purity of their love-a love that I would almost call godly. It was almost-at least for me-as if that eternal, lingering last boundary, ever kept at arms length, yet on their horizon of hope, made their appetite for their higher romance never falter or wane; because they were each completely assured of the other’s equal love. It was perfectly reciprocal, without being spoken, necessarily. It was just…understood…without a single particle of doubt. This is the kind of love we all long for; we just don’t know it…because (almost) none of us has ever thought to seek this kind of love, or to hope to create it. It would never occur to any of us to even consider the existence of such love during mortality. Perhaps this is the case because it surely must not be possible for the common man or woman, in any situation, to endure self-denial in that way-to deny our natural selves, for what purpose we were created: to merge our bodies, our hearts…melded into singularity. To belong to someone that…assuredly…that completely…without doubt or even an inkling of questioning as to the validity or endurance of the love bond. Like acceptance that the Sun is always there, even behind the clouds.

i wanted both the dialogue and the music/lyrics to be heard. If you turn up the volume it's fine. There are only like 3 scenes where you can't hear them well.

I love it. I just don’t love the music. Words were distracting. Instrumentals would’ve been nice. The timeline was weird but overall I very much enjoyed this! I’m such a hardcore shipper. 🖤🖤🖤
I wanted the lyrics to be heard because I specifically chose songs that relate to Mulder & Scully's situation/romance. And the timeline is random, except for some scenes that relate to the lyrics of the song that is playing. I could've done it better, but this is the result of my first time making a compilation, so it is what it is.
