Originella She has come a long way since then, she was a lot more open and accepting of hearing people here than she was in season 1 .
I always hated how Bay always seemed to be left out of everything. Regina didn't really accept her at first. Of course her dad dropped everything for Daphne because she was his biological daughter. The only people that seemed to be there for her was Kathryn and Toby. She had Emmett for a while, but he cheated on her. I always felt for Bay.
Very different circumstances. Bay was the hearing girlfriend of her deaf son, who before this had always been adamant about not dating hearing girls until he met Bay and it was sprung on her while Bay was still in her "mad at the world" phase. Daphne and Mingo were years later, where Melody had already learned that hearing people who are willing to learn sign language because they are dating a deaf person or have one in their life are worth giving a chance to, because Melody really came around and loved Bay at the end.
Melody was also dating a hearing person at this point though sooooo

The comments saying she is more accepting of hearing people or hated Bay.... she didn’t like Bay because she didn’t like that her son was getting into and lied about it. When Emmet surprised Bay with put up her art on the billboard they not only was it a crime because he “tagged a billboard” which he later got arrested for but he lied to Melody and said he played baseball with friends and that how he got injured on the ribs and she noticed that Bay had a similar injury but on the hand. (Fence scraped them). Of course Melody had u fairly been rude to Bay but came around to like her when Bay warned her about Emmet wanting to drop out of school and that his dad and then girlfriend were not the best influence on him gf had stashed heroine somewhere in the house after the dad told her not to, and Emmet hadn’t been getting proper meals or parenting.
Yes, but she also did say to Emmett multiple times in season 1 that she specifically didn’t want him to date Bay because she was hearing. She disliked Bay as soon as she got close to Emmett, *before* she knew about or noticed any lying/trouble. Also, in late season 1 after she started dating Chef Jeff, Melody told Emmett that she was ”rethinking her position on hearing guys”. So she definitely did get more accepting of hearing people as the show went on.

yes.. after that happened they held a dorm compitition and at the end daphne and mingo ended up getting close
