This was Phil's worst nightmare, being trapped in a real conversation with his biggest enemy in front of 2 people he was trying to impress and befriend, as well as in front of a live audience of thousands of his detractors, with no ability to lean-in-manual-ban people and no ability to control the narrative. Yeah it did offer some sort of conclusion. Normies looked at Phil’s antics and said nah man, they’re right. I’ll still watch to keep up with lore, but I’ve lost some interest now that I think about it.

That's just phil’s excuse to ignore people or things he doesn't like.
He did the same thing to that guy who wanted to rent his Connecticut condo out for him. Asked him to message him exclusively by email so he could pretend that it got lost in his spam folder but the guy decided to call him instead and Phil ghosted them.
He didn't turn it down because of keem..he turned it down because he'd have to work for someone and have expectations placed on him.
There are a number of factors that I think played into him not taking it. For one he has a HUGE ego, if asked how many people he has banned it'd be way into the 6 figures over the years. He works for keem and one of the stipulations is he cannot mod the chat or have any of his current mods is a complete deal breaker right there. Imagine if he could ban and that person could not watch anymore? He'd of had to quit youtube a long time ago.
Ego has a part yes, but the real problem with the deal is that Phil has major mental issues. Those mental issues won’t allow him to make good decisions and keep him looping in a cycle of victimhood and self destruction. I actually got teary listening to Keem still give him the option and got frustrated watching Phil just not give an F…

He has stated many times how he hated needing to give back to his own community and even with the private react videos he waits till the last min to do it because he truly hates doing things for others and especially being under an agreement.

The evidence was overwhelming
It’s really sad honestly. So many people tried to help him and were nice despite the lies and anger. He probably will never have peace with himself. Especially when he can’t do any self inflection from constructive criticism. His ego is too big. Either he’s saving most of his money or he really just blew it all on worthless items.
He’s not a good guy. I’ve watched him for 10 freaking years now, and he never gives you an opportunity to stop laughing at him. There’s always something pretty big at least once a WEEK where you go “yup there’s Phil”. They can seem like little things sometimes, but they’re certain confirmation. You’d know it when you saw any real change and it just doesn’t happen man. Now he’s 40 and I just dunno. Maybe finding God or some huge life change that humbles him.
According to the bank leaks he doesn't have any money saved, and sometimes happened that he paid late fees on his mortgage payment because he rather spent all of his money a day before the mortgage payment instead of saving it for it
When Adam lost it because Philburt justified his hatred of Keem from watching "CZcams videos and documentaries" I fucking hollered. His reaction was amazing, and it was a perfect example of The King of Hypocrisy in action! Best moment of the whole thing.

My opinion on keem has changed over the years. Is he slimey in some areas absolutely but I don't think he's a bad person. It's like Adam said he figured out that anger and wild reactions are addictive and took advantage of that he is in his right a genius.

The truth of the matter is that everyone on this podcast gave Phil a fair shake and really tried helping him, but he refuses to acknowledge his faults and wrongs. Can’t help a person that doesn’t want to be helped.

I was a huge DSP fan from back when he had a camera pointing at his tv. He was legitimately entertaining even though he was slow to evolve. Then he started complaining about his finances and begging. I remember his comment section was full of people suggesting getting a job, he had nothing but excuses so i unsubbed. Years later i see all these dsp hour long fail videos. As a former fan seeing phil now is sad. He's beyond delusional, he's disconnected from communication with real people.
Congrats on not allowing the pignosis to ensnare you as it has done many others.
You guys did an awesome job. Researched all his shenanigans, collected evidence and then went as respectful as possible when asking him about it.

Oh man Phil has been throwing the biggest tantrum over this. He claims he was ambushed with this appearance when Craig and Adam were the ones that asked if it was okay and he said it was fine. Fast forward days later and the sidescrollers are of course the bad guys despite evidence of them trying to be as polite and respectful as possible. He just can't handle criticism.
Tbf, that was an impossible situation for Phil. It was a lose- lose for him.

To be fair, there's absolutely nothing wrong with consulting your significant other for big decisions. But...there's so many factors where you dont do that mostly that he's a lot older than Kat and she's also not too smart.
Imagine DSP looking for a "real" job. He would send 1 résumé every 3-4 days or something.

Was a fascinating interview honestly.
How slowly you see Craig and Adam get more and more impatient and infuriated by his half truth responses, and derailing from the question asked to avoid answering it.
Several occassions Adam had to interject and push him back to answering the question properly.
Several occassions Adam had to tell him how hypocritical he was being, after saying something not even 2 minutes prior that contradicts what he just said.
Not to mention when Keem was on, you pointed out his reason for hating Keem is ultimately really pointless and very hypocritical as he got his information from Keem's detractors!
Props to you Side Scrollers, for not giving soft punches. There's a lot of information out there on DSP that it's hard to really turn a blind eye to.
i'm not a fan of keem by any stretch........but he made some great points. phil freely admitted that he had no plan for the future, other than streaming and begging. and here was keem, someone he's talked shit on for months, going out of his way to actually wanna help phil be more successful and not have to resort to begging on a daily basis. dude was even willing to give him 50k of his own money for it, which would've helped change phil's lifestyle immensely and he just spat it back in his face, when he was in no position moral or financially to say no to him.

I kinda respect Phil for not wanting to work with Keem. He doesn’t respect him and thats fair. It think a lot of people would do the same. Phil’s number one issue is that he made mad money during the hayday of CZcams and got accustomed to that lifestyle. He bought all kinds of frivolous shit like a billion collectible figures and whatnot. He still expects that lifestyle (ie it is beneath him to eat lunch meat sandwiches and shop at Walmart) while not earning anywhere near the same.
You guys should not give DSP props for staying in this interview or feel like you guys did anything to grill him or put him on the spot you guys were completely fair. 1. Why would a grown man leave a interview because another man enters it. 2. He only stayed because he probably seriously believed he could still pull the wool over your eyes and convince you he did nothing wrong he did everything correct. 3. Keemstar was literally more well behaved than he has been talking to anyone ever in this interview.

A. He takes advantage of you, you get sick of it, you end the partnership.
B. He can't take advantage of you, HE gets sick of it, HE ends the partnership.

It won't work. DSP would have to share a percentage of that money and if it was wildly successful he'd still look for an out just based on that. I'd say having 3 lulcows together would have momentary success, maybe, but it wouldn't take long for Phil or one of the others to no show. My takeaway from this is Keemstar is a savvy guy and pretty damn patient, DSP on the other hand is far worse than his rep.
Did this go over everyone's head? Phil says over and over that he has zero interest in hearing about any business deals from Keemstar, and the hosts assure him that won't happen, that they're not going to attempt to broker a deal, and that Keem just wants to talk. Then they immediately start trying to convince DSP to do a business deal with Keemstar, with even the hosts trying to persuade him. LOL. And DSP seems to forget that 5 minutes earlier he was saying he doesn't want to hear about any business ideas from Keemstar.
Keemstar just helped revive Wings and boogies career.
