So I’m really curious why no one is talking about sai of the shinobi and equipment that auto equips whenever a creature etbs I know it isn’t a zero equip but pair it with skute swarm and it’s pretty insane
I have seen people doubting Nadu's actual cedh playability. How many games have you all gotten with him and how has it panned out? He viable, or fringe? Other commenters, please note this is directed at the spikes. I am most interested in their take here please
I (Jim) haven't gotten any reps in with Nadu at the cEDH level, but I assembled the deck that took down the big event this weekend and I plan on bringing it to my LGS on Wednesday. Super interested in seeing how it plays first hand, both from a cEDH playability perspective and from a casual play pattern perspective.
I played 5 games for now with him over spell table, in 2 games i was able to go though most of my deck in one turn, thanks to cards like scute swarm, field of the dead and springheart nantuko. He is also a very good value engine in combination with Seeker of Skybreak or Aphetto alchemist. I personally think the deck CAN be super strong and it has turns where it just feels straight unfair. But it's a highly synergistic deck, one nadu got removed 1 or 3 times it is hard to come back since he costs so much, and you feel very far behind because many cards in the deck do nothing without him. Simular to Magda. Removing the comand few times is the best answer to it. Tho i think it is a bit stronger. More colors ans harder to remove. But it doesn't win the game on it's own, like 2 magda activations do. Also fickering Nadu resets thr ability on your entire board, making displacer kitten just insane.
This guy looks sweet but the thought of piloting a non-deterministic combo like this and resolving abilities for several minutes before possibly going "pass" seems kinda not fair to other players imo, though I'm 100% speaking from a more casual perspective here
@@aeronhoare7706absolutely agree, for the tables that have no problem with it they can play away if they have that rule 0 discussion. I just refuse to pilot or play against nadu because it means one player is taking up way more game time than the other 3 in resolving their triggered abilities and that just seems unfun to play or play against. No hate to the commander or any people who do wanna pilot it though, it just isn't my cup of tea

At this point everyone knows about it, this junky equipment already spiked in price and is already coming down again...am I the only one getting a bit tired of the collective hive mind effect that the internet created where actual new and authentic content is very rare and everything else is just a regurgitation of it? What have we become as a species? A regurgitation of one another?

I really like nadu as it makes landfall a viable strategy in cedh and brings diversity to a somewhat stagnant meta. Hopefully, he doesn't get banned.

That seems like a discussion to be had within your playgroup. Storm decks can be similar
