This street, which epitomizes 19th-century Russia, was created to add an exotic touch to the seaside city. Visitors can explore this 430-meter-long street on foot or on a jingling carriage. Numerous duty-free shops, supermarkets, antique stores, and painting shops sell East European goods. For entertainment, Russian artists dazzle the crowds with their skills in acrobatics, ballet, and love ballads. And as a culinary bonus, the street is packed with Russian, American, Italian, French, and Portuguese restaurants.

Dalian was under Russian occupation for some years before the Japanese took it over. That's why it has a Russian street. Half of these buildings are not in use anymore.
