I find it interesting when the narrative of media comes up. Looking at Colorado as an example, their revelency is not grounded in what the national media thinks or has to say. It's the social media engagement of the team that has place them as a water cooler subject among the masses, and it's platforms like this that have extended the conversation into places where college football didn't exist. Digital, print, and mainstream networks have no advantage on information coming out of Boulder, because the fanbase or people interested in the program know before reports are given. So give yourself some credit for being part of the new way of reporting and the accountability it brings.

What Colorado did with their social media ripped the program apart last year. The commenters were folks who didn't know football. It was absurd.

NDSU is not as good as they used to be. They lost their coach who turned that program around and several of their big guys are now gone. They have not restocked their team and sadly for them, CU is huge now and this game won't even be close. SDSU is the bad ass in their conference now, not NDSU. Colorado will come out of the gate with a decisive win over the Bison.

@user-cs6jv7lo7k talk to you week two. How do you play with 77 players? The revolving door is dizzying. And I'm out on those channels too. I've laughed at the Puffs for 50 years. Lots of history with the foolish fans. Damaged vehicles, spit on, beer showers....One natty and ONLY because of five downs. Remember that one? Always talking but minimal doing. Though the campus is probably the most beautiful in existence. It just doesn't equate to winning football.

@@DougThomas-ty5ff We found the loser Nebraska fan. Even the Omaha World-Herald newspaper referred to what you wrote as "lore" ... which was a nice way of informing their readers that the evidence-free stories you and other cornhuskers tell about CU are lies.
Huskers are always whining about a lack of respect from fans who root for Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa, Iowa St., Minnesota, Wisconsin and Northwestern (almost everyone they've ever played on a regular basis), but they fail to understand that if they want respect, they need to act like they deserve it and stop being trolls.

@JK-hm1sd Google 5th down play. There's only one out there, 1990 Colorado Missouri. Munch on that fact. It was also on TV. That's called fact, not lore. Actually, Husker fans are recognized for good sportsmanship. Not so for Buff fans. They stopped the game and emptied the student section in Boulder one year. That's sportsmanship right there.

      @@DougThomas-ty5ff
      (1) Over 100 football programs and it was instantly obvious you were a Nebraska fan *just* by your cry-baby whining.
      (2) Congratulations for not continuing to spout made-up trash about damaged vehicles, beer showers, etc., and instead started complaining about something else that has no effect upon your life.
      (3) CU Did Not, "Run-an-Extra/5-Play" against Missouri -- CU ran 3 plays and spiked the ball twice when it was 1st and goal from the 4 yd. line ... CU got an "extra time" out when their back-up QB spiked the ball for a 2nd time on the final set of downs to stop the clock when the ball was on the 1 yd. line (the marker said it was 3rd down, but it was 4th) ...
after discussing what play to call CU decided to stick with the run. ... If the down-marker correctly said 4th down, CU would have just run the same play (instead of spiking the ball) and won the game. Feel free to watch CU drive the ball 88 yards from their own 12 in 15 plays with a back-up QB in 2:30 min. Only Nebraskan's who live in a fantasy past bring this up -- most Missouri fans know their defense let them down and CU was the better team that day.
      (4) The hometown fans in Lincoln are know for being good natured -- but the NU fans who travel have the reputation of being real A Holes. Major cities like Chicago, KC, Denver, and Dallas entertain fans from rival teams, in all sports, year-round and have no problem with them. Its *only* the NU fans these citizens constantly find to be obnoxious.
If 1/3rd of the traveling Nebraska fans continue to display loathsome behavior when they are on the road (and online), you can add Eugene, LA, and Seattle to the list of cities who have a low opinion of Nebraska fans. It's only the echo chamber you are in that makes you falsely believe Husker fans are recognized for good sportsmanship (or do you really think that going to another team's fan site and trash-talking is an example of good sportsmanship).
