Remember how Chaos persuaded Horus? By showing him a future where the Emperor was worshipped as a God.
And, ironically enough, that's exactly what the Horus Heresy ended up causing.
If you stay quiet and listen carefully, you can hear Tzeentch laughing in the distance.
Then getting distracted by something shiny for the next three millenia...
Maybe Tzeentch is the Emperor and everything really is just as planned.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Malcador is just chilling in his Imperial basement
Right, and the only reason he hasn't helped this whole time is because Erda locked the basement door because she was sick of the emperor not respecting her ideas.

"Oh shit! It's Rob, Cheezit!" Malcador exclaimed.
Before Gulliman could respond his train of thought is interjected by, "QUICK! This way!".
As Gulliman turns his head he finds himself face to face with Valdor. Valdor throws a tray of pizza rolls at Gulliman as he sprints towards Malcador before the two jump into a pocket dimension.
Gulliman picking pizza rolls out of his suit thinks to himself, "What in the Warp was that?"

The emperor's pyshic projection finding and giving a strategic hug to the demon primarchs would doom chaos overnight.
Lol

"no one will ever believe you"
Magnus: I will destroy u corpse God!
Emperor: Wanna play a game of catch... Son?
Magnus: *breaks down crying
Jajajajajaja no one would expect such a radical movement.
The scariest thought of all. The Emperor has no clue what he is doing and is making the plan up as he goes along. And he is succeeding. Against everything being thrown at him he is still succeeding.
That actually would be a good idea. Considering Tzeentch is the god of schemes if you're just throwing shit at the wall and hoping it will stick while relying on sheer blind zealotry to deal with the rest of Chaos it just might work. Sure, Tzeentch is literally made of every though to ever exist past, present, and future BUT the Emperor is likely immune due to his anti-Chaos nature. If he planned properly, though, Tzeentch would doubtless notice the pieces coming together and figure it out easily. But if you don't have a plan but do have basically infinite resources and godlike genius?
That would be ironic. Defeating Chaos Gods by having chaos.
@@Nexus9118 Fight fire with fire chaos with chaos

@@midgetydeath As Terry Pratchett put it: "Plans can break down. You cannot plan the future. Only presumptuous fools plan. The wise man steers."
"None of the primarchs shall return. "
"All of the primarchs shall return."
Tzeentch lol
I mean, for literally all of his existence he and his fellow chaos gods have been in charge doing their thing over and over again. Tzeench even almost won at one but gave up and purposefully lost so the great game could continue....... except that doesn’t exactly sound like the god of change does it?...... you know what would be the ultimate change..... if none of the chaos gods won if instead one of them betrayed the others and worked with their anathema..... if that god of change finally fulfilled his single and most important reason for existing..... to scheme and EXECUTE a change in the status quo.....
No bigger change or plan than to ascend from one chaos god into another by the BIGGEST CONSPIRACY possible and helping to execute a evolutionary death March of the human race towards a future of species wide godhood..... a fusion of the chaos realm and the material plane. No longer would there be a single realm hard separated by reality since everysingle human of the unumbered trillions being a god tier psycher who can but with a thought will reality to bend at his whisper. The empire would then be able to expand beyond our Galaxy and into other for ever onwards.
@@hunter5822 I mean. This is a long established Fallacy to Tzeentch.
For all the scheming, all the (debatable) tactical genius. He could care less how plans live or die, fail or succeed. His pleasure is the scheme. He would equally scheme a convoluted plan that involves him destroying himself, or sacrificing other chaos gods as equally likely as he would plan the destruction of any poor souls to wander to close to his domain(s).
Tzeentch will always be an interesting chaos god because all he does is plan and half ass execute overly elaborate and convoluted plans, only to randomly abandon them halfway through when he gets bored... sometimes.
He's as much of a threat to himself as he is to others, and he enjoys that part of the game more then anything
Hey hey people
@@hunter5822 Chaos gods are formed by the thoughts and emotions of living beings right? So there are more stupid people than smart in the universe. Tzeench could be the chaos god of stupid schemes.

This has been my assumption since getting in to 40K. "The Board is Set" isn't a phrase you use at the end of a game. The mistake was thinking the Heresy was the climax, but really it was just the opening moves
And Tzeentch's opening move was to get a bunch of shaman to make his winning piece.

Even Eldrad has said that reading the future is fraught with peril. I believe the Emperor had a plan and it failed with the Heresy. Then, he divined a new way and decided that the 40k universe was the only way through the storm.
I remember in The Master of Mankind BigE told one of his Custodians something like this "Future sight is like climbing a cliff. You can see all the rocks, but only know which ones will not hold your weight until they break"
For me this was a metaphor for his primarchs sons. Which one would break and which could carry his legacy forward was alway uncertain, but he planned for every outcome just incase.
I think this is why Valdor is being revealed. The fact that Alpharius that was killed was Omegon, that their is an Alpharius traveling with Einhorn and even the gifting of the beacon to the Alpha Legion by Saint Celestine on behalf of the Emperor, all is about to open to change...
That would be brilliant. Hydra Dominatus.
Also Alpharius appears in siege of Terra: Mortis novel and collaborates with John Grammaticus and Oll Person. They also speak of the secret language of Enuncia from the Eisenhorn books.
nope
Eisenhorn is one of the most powerful and well known inquisitors, but that doesn't mean he can long long enough to see Guilliman return. He is certainly going to die in the last bequin novel, in a bid to help the rest of his allies escape. It doesn't help that he himself doesn't want to live anymore either.
More proof is in Belisarius Cawl, when cawl's mind is absorbed by his captor & he overpowers him he remembers a conversation with the emperor before he ascended the throne where he calls him cawl & the guy is confused. The E is having a conversation with cawl in the far future while the guy he is actually speaking with has no idea what he is saying & why he calls him this.

Rho, I believe you are 100% right, the Emperor saw all this and knew it would happen and there is a "plan". There were references to the Emperor losing his humanity in Valdor: Birth of the Imperium. The Emperor implies directly to Valdor that he will lose his humanity but to not worry. Later in the story during a conversation between Malkador and Valdor, it is Malkador that says he was shocked when the Emperor referred to the Primarchs as his sons and that there might actually be lingering attachment remaining but is unsure of how long it will last. Valdor responds with a question, something to effect, "his humanity is leaving him?" and Malkador responds with, "as he predicted and all things have their price".

Unfortunately GW have just been playing it very safe recently the simple good guys vs bad story. A new heresy is too gray for them I think.
but who is the heretic, Gulliman or the Ecclessiarchy?
I could see a splintering of multiple factions. The uncomfortable secrets of the Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves are revealed and the Inquisition orders the destruction of three loyalist legions. Gulliman, however, tries to bring back the Imperial truth and challenges the Cult. Suddenly the creator of the Codex is challenging the divinity of the God Emperor.
Do they side with the Inquisition or the Legions? Is the codex worth following or not?
If they bring back certain Primarchs (Dorn, Russ, Corvax) They can write some novels in deph about what they've been up to and release some new games or box sets with new minis for those campaigns. I'm a Blood Angel but i'd at least get the books and if any were awesome enough i'd consider a box set. GW have a great opportunity for new content here.

"Olivia sees the grim darkness of the future, she sees the horror, the harsh and bleak existence of the warhammer 40k universe..." (Cue image of Wamudes joyfully giving Emps a sponge bath).
I've been saying for years now that the last 10K+ years have been the Emperor's long game to achieve true godhood...
Do you realize how costly this will be? What happend to the eldar and their empire when Slaanesh were born? But yes. I agree. It is the only way to defeat chaos. Only a god can slay gods.
@@Ork20111 But what happens after? Because when Giants fight the ants feel it?
@@Ork20111 The Aeldari birthed a God of evil, a god of Chaos, the emperor is already here, and even then the emperor would be a god of good

Tzeentch: This is beautiful Emps, so unpredictable
Hey @Wolf Lord Rho youtube keeps taggings your videos as World of Warcraft related. In case you didn't see that.
Also, I completely agree, especially with the upcoming rewrites. I feel like the Indomatus crusade is just the Great Crusade: Search for the Primarchs part 2.
"Spends every waking moment" does not work here, since the EMPRAH does not sleep, bless his soul.
If he's awake that means that those moments are waking one's abd is therefore using all of them
In Valdor: Birth of the Imperium, there's a nice little clue to the way the mind of the emperor works and how he likes to disguise his plans. Amar Astarte incinerates the imperial dungeon and everyone thinks the Space Marines project is dead with that act. In reality, she was allowed to do so. Half the Gene-Seed is spirited away to safety on Luna and the Imperial dungeon is closed off because it's too dangerous to go in. In reality, the Emperor had need of the Dungeon not as a storage vault but a laboratory for something far, far greater - The webway project. The Emperor is content to let his subjects think he was given a grievous blow, to keep them in the dark to keep his enemies in the dark and to think that they're winning. He's also kind of Immortal so time isn't as big of a factor for him as it is to the others around him. I wouldn't be surprised if it was always his intention to ascend to God-hood and everything else was just diversions.
So may people say "kinda immortal". He was supposedly born 8,000 BC. He has been alive for damn near 50,000 years and he hasn't aged since his prime. How is that not the very definition of immortality? Is just because he could potentially be killed by force? But even that may not be so sincw whoreus did more than enough to kill him. So how is he not just immortal?

I think we will get a couple more daemon primarchs Fulgrim and Angron and just as its looking as bleak as possible we will get a loyalist or two. I'm kinda hoping it's Russ and the Khan or Lion just to read the reaction of Robute and the bickering between them
Imagine Russ coming back and sparks a little civil war between them
@@The-Real-JD I can't see Russ being happy about the state of the Imperium!
@Richie Dontrelle yeah the Lion would definitely be easier for Robute to deal with too I just think the personality clash between Russ and Robute would be interesting
@@tra779 That's why it would be really interesting if he came back and have a Mini civil war going on or idk
@@The-Real-JD I really doubt we will see a mini civil war regardless of who returns. Any primach would be well aware that the victor would not survive much longer in the galaxy. That and G man already has shown that he's willing to bend the codex so it's quite possible he and Russ get over their differences. The lion is more vanilla but it makes more sense, especially given him and Gullimans banter on Calth. The Lion and G man are the best case scenario for the Imperium.
This makes me wonder if the Emperor let Mortarian live because he knows all his sons will be back. That would be bad ass if the Emperor found a way to get all the Primarchs back.
As for loyalist, Johnson, Jaghatai and Corax of course. These three will certainly help Guilliman turn the tide against many enemies of Man.
These kinds of videos always get me pumped for the future of 40k! I want to see more Primarchs coming back and kicking ass!
About the Emperor lack of human emotions when Guilliman met him in the Throne room, there is a HUGELY important line towards the end of the novel "Valdor - Birth of the Imperium" that I rarely see mentionned (SPOILERS ahead) :
Malcador to Valdor, talking about the Primarchs (p. 150) :
"You shall speak of this with Him too, when He returns. Hone your arguments - I judge that He is determined to hunt for them. He has taken to referring to them as His “sons”. Can you imagine that? Neither could I, until I heard it from His own lips. There might even be some lingering attachment, there, though how long it will last I cannot say.’
Valdor hesitated. ‘Then His human sentiments - they are still ebbing.’
‘As He predicted. All things have their price.’"
There it is : the Emperor was starting to lose his capacity for human emotions before he was interred on the Golden throne, in fact, before the Heresy and even before the Great Crusade !
I feel this is GW attempt to bridge the decades old inconsistency between the "two" emperors : the one who is considerate and kind and the one who is without human emotion to the point of making stupid mistakes in dealing with his sons.
What do you think ?
I mean....he is the creation of a mesh of thousands of shamans forming one big soul right? What if there isn't unity in those miniature souls? Or perhaps that effect wasn't meant to be a permanent fix to those problems
I like this theory last thing I'd like to see is the Emperor to be perfect like a Primaris. If he returns, him being devoid of humanity would make for interesting stories and lore.
During the Horus Heresy
Emperor: *Stuck on the Golden Throne*
Chaos Gods: Yey! We win!
10K years later.
Chaos Gods: *Why do we hear boss music?*
The galaxy is literally on fire with millions dying every day and the Emperor is just casually sitting on his chair like: Mmm...yes very good.
How dare you question the wisdom of the Emperor’s plan???
The result might be a galaxy strong enough to repel the tyranids.
@@codename1176 Or a galaxy empty enough to starve them
Just like i planned

@@moriyokiri3229 YOU DARE ACCUSE ME OF HERESY?
There was a short story you covered before when Morty said he had a vision of someone like 1 or more of his brothers coming. I really hope that we get another loyal primarch before 9th is over but if a loyalist return why not bring another traitor primarch too.
Well it's been confirmed that the Fallen Angels are getting rules in the next White Dwarf, which could mean that their lore will advance, and if the lore of the Fallen is advancing, then so is the lore of the Dark Angels. I wouldn't be surprised if this eventually leads to the Lion reawakening to fight Luther and the Fallen.
Plot twist. Big E was just vibing in his throne. He just wanted to show the Imperium his gaming chair.
Did you read the recent Alpharius book? I'd love to have a video on your thoughts on it.
The Emperor's humanity is still in there, and the key to it lies within his sons. He's simply just spread too thin, his consciousness split between a thousand different battlefields, within and without the warp.
Bobby G just had high hopes as everythimg else he remembers is gone or so different that it's nigh unrecognizable, and then his last hope for something familiar, his father, was even more alien and grotesque than he could imagine.
I also pick up on that "heros long lost return" part. If that does not refer to loyal primarchs returning then i dont know what it would refer to.
Maybe Malcador the Hero?
Malcador returning would be awesome for the imperium, him leading the Astra militarum AND the sisters of battle as a primarch level character.
If the Emperor has become a God then Logar’s prophesy or announcement that the Emperor is a God is correct.
Alpharius returns with 10,000 years of secretly making Alpha Legion Space Marines and Imperial Guard Armies from thousands of Worlds, I mean Alpharius has a Legion or 3 that is not conforming to the Codex. Informs Guilliman that the Emperor has communicated to him to finally reveal himself in the Imperium’s darkest hour and to assist Guilliman. Alpharius then says a secret phrase and the Custodian Guard accompanying Guilliman says, “authentication confirmed Alpharius is Loyal to the Emperor”
I think the chaos God's knew it was a possible future of the Emperor an they misunderstood why he was seeking godhood. Ironically their actions forcing him to seek godhood worship from his people to give him more power in the warp to stay and eventually defeat chaos.
That is some Secret Service shit, goddamn.
@@danielstephenaguilos9346 grim darkness twist... it will suck for the Xenos races too...lol and I play Eldar since Rouge Trader in 1980s😂
Man i love Gig E and the Primarchs. Can't wait to see who is the next one to return.
I would like Dorn to return..... But I have a suspicion a fun appearance would be the Han..... Imagine "Dad, it is time...... For a speed race! " And then roams with ultra rapid speed to the universe to help salamanders to find the items to summon Vulkan..... And then go together sharing the love of speed and friendship to the universe while our daddy Guilliman finally sits to do his administrative job as intented......... Just magnificent
Just randomly came across this channel today. I had zero experience with the 40K universe, but in mid 2019 I decided to check out some of their books. Picked up the Hours Heresy. I just finished book 25 The Mark of Calth and started Vulkan lives. I've been hooked ever since!
Once Vulkan He’Stan finds the relics I hope Vulkan stops playing hide and seek

I feel he's more of a huddle house kinda guy, russ on the other hand most definitely would roll up to a wafflehouse at 3am half smashed looking for some breakfast.
Does anyone ever talk about belasarius cawl talking to the Emperor. I loved that the Emperor told him: you will betray me and you will be right to do so. Spoiler: just before releasing a shard of a C'tan.
Just found your channel and love your style, passion, and tone. Well done!
"Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment"
What I really hope for would be that it's not just the Lion coming back soon, but also the loyalist clone of Fulgrim
Imagine if Alpharius appears at the side of the Imperium...
they always were
He always was, he sees manipulating chaos from within as a valid tool to use and has used, the flesh may be weak but his heart and mind is loyal to the emperor.
I know but what I ment was an open reproach.
Honestly wont be suprised if Alpharius/Omegon killled Alpharius/Omegon
I'm really quite glad I discovered your channel. The accursed algorithm of chaos is merciful for once. Subbed.
It's funny how hyped 40k lore gets me. I'm the opposite of the marine fanboy (100% team pointy ears), the primarchs returning, that just gives me chill, man this video gave me chills thinking about all the implications. As an Eldar fanboy, the gathering storm though sad (Biel-tan), for me it was a total lore orgasm. It's hard to describe, but I think people get it, how much we love 40k lore. I've read the entire HH series, I'm up to date with the Siege of Terra, those 2 series brought feelings in me that only a few rare movies brought up, I can only imagine such series being made in live action, even in animation that would be good enough.
if the state of humanity and the universe in 40k was the Emperor's plan all along, then Horus did nothing wrong.
Or maybe this is plan B
I would say Big E knew something like the Heresy would happen. He just didn't know which one of his sons would end up doing the deed. It was a framework he percieved but the details were obscured. So he planned around that framework. Making it so that his plans would advance when someone capable of handling the job at the appropriate time and place showed up. Thus any of his sons could betray him and any stay loyal. Any could be lost and any could begin the return. It was a plan that would take millenia because it was, by necessity, subject to self revision. And his part in it was to keep that plan in place so all the pieces could be assembled in whatever order was necessary.
I think the big E will eventually leave his throne. But not before he has secured his masterstroke against his enemies. Because the moment he raises from his seat is the moment the final battle begins.
@@jacobfreeman5444 You missed my point completely. I'm not saying that Horus did the right thing because he was acting as the Emperor planned, I'm saying that if the Emperor actually planned for the galaxy to turn out the way it did then Horus was right to fight him.
@@randombencounter263 It was definitely the Chaos gods' plan for it to turn out this way, yet Horus sided with them. As for Big E...I just think he knew it was something he couldn't stop so incorporated it into his own design. I suspect Big E isn't the altruist he is painted as being but it doesn't benefit him to make a galaxy of pure murder. In some ways Big E seems oddly dispassionate and seems to seek to expand that condition to all of humanity.
Everything is possible with the power of retconning!
I love your love for the 'good guy' Emperor and the Primarchs :)
