Paul does look much better letting the hair go more natural. Such a down to earth person. This Tim person I don't know of but I will be checking out his stuff. He not only was in awe of sitting with Paul but came across as so respectful and knowledgeable to Paul. A nice young man.
Once you discover Tim Minchin, it is all too easy to become obsessive whenever he sings, acts, or does a comedy/piano routine. The man is magnetic and charming.
I am 68 and have loved Paul since the first time I saw him. He is such a gift to all countries. I love him even more today. He is so talented and just as handsome as ever. He is just as beautiful on the inside and so real. God bless our Paul!
One of the better recent years interviews I've seen with Paul. It helps to have some interesting questions and Tim's humour/ musical perspective to keep McCartney engaged and off autopilot!
I used to not like Paul way back when there was the John vs Paul crap. I guess I was influenced by the media and their beat ups but now I think he's really great which comes I guess from just listening to him in interviews such as this one. I'm getting on , I'm in my sixties and Paul really impresses me, hell he's in his seventies and apart from a few wrinkles he's better now than he ever was, while I'm falling apart, too much having fun but eventually we pay the price.

Always good to see Mr McCartney, a man of true talent and natural charm- being from his part of the U.K myself & growing up with The Beatles I feel as if I know him, I know, deluded really.
This is a fantastic interview with an icon of songwriting and performing. So many of us just can't get enough of Paul McCartney! He represents the highest level of artistic talent and beautiful, positive human spirit.
Tim Minchin seems in awe of Paul, and who can blame him !! ……Macca is probably just a ‘rock music dinosaur’ to some young folk, but he must be the ULTMATE rockstar dinosaur because it was he and three other Liverpudlians who inspired so many impressionable teenagers to take up an instrument, to sing and to perform, and of course to compose. Interesting also to hear Tim praise Paul’s lyric writing because TM is an exceptional songwriter himself. And it was so refreshing to hear many different questions to the usual boring ones I’ve heard ad nauseam before. Much of Paul’s success is surely due to his easy-going diplomacy (taught to him by his father), his humour and his genuine respect for his fan base…..Ringo is also a really down-to-earth character who is brilliant in interviews with his charming wit. In fact, the VERY BEST interview I’ve ever seen with any of The Beatles is this 51 minute on-stage interview (czcams.com/video/6tjAo3v4Fis/video.html) with Dave Stewart which is fascinating because the questions are from one muso to another muso, and Ringo’s recollections and funny inside stories are compelling for anyone who is an ardent fan of the Fabbers !!
Tim is no slouch either you know, composed two major Broadway musicals, successful musical satirist, his own TV show which he wrote, directed and starred in,voice actor, master of the piano and an incredible activist
This is incredible news. I saw Paul perform at the MCG last time he was in Melbourne and I'II definitely be front and centre for his December gig in Melbourne later this year. He's the best and I feel so fortunate to be able to make the show.
It's really moving when Paul talked about the most emotional experiences of fans. It's really precious he appreciate his fandom and you can watch a thankful Paul with everybody who is still support him. A very wonderful conversation, you can get tired of listening Paul's stories. I could listen him hours just talking. He's really a wonderful human being in all sense and i appreciate living in the same period of time with him.
We all understand his GREATNESS, words will never be able to frame it properly--but for Paul to be so humble, year after year, question after question, tour after tour, only puts an exclamation point on how incredibly unique and special he is. His solo material is unbelievably amazing. Only Paul, George, John and Ringo, could follow an act like the Beatles...it figures. Generations from now, people will be studying The Beatles and Lennon/McCartney/Harrison songs. THANK YOU!

Oh I love this especially the part where Paul talks about when they went to see South Pacific he and John Lennon and John couldn't stand it and they walked out. I'm Laughing out loud!
geez. I hope I'm able to buy tickets for his Auckland show, saw Paul when he last came in '93 and again recently in Paris in '15, where he performs for 2hrs solid. There was a DJ who opened the show for approx an hour who played all Beatle and Paul's solo songs, my wife commented that if he is on any longer, he would play all of Paul's song. During Paul's live performance, he didn't play any one of the songs that were on prior to his show for his whole 2hrs.
Memories from Australia. Surprised Paul didn't mention the Norman Gunston interview from the Wings tour. Linda was wetting her pants with laughter. A pity he's skipping Adelaide where the biggest public turnout in the day, EVER for The Beatles, outside Adelaide town hall.

what does that 10:27 gesture mean? i've seen him do it in other interviews while telling a similar story, anyone knows?
I wish they would do a song together.
You can tell the interviewer wants to fan out, but contained himself well, i would've probably started speaking gibberish to paul 10 seconds in haha
This reminds me of when Chris Farley interviewed Sir Paul on SNL. Tim has the same fanboy energy.
He does LOLOL
During Paul's live performance, he didn't play any one of the songs that were on prior to his show for his whole 2hrs.
cee doubleyou
Was it boring.. the part with the DJ.. it sounds as if you were a bit disappointed
Daamn hard to believe he's 75! Looking almost as good as Ringo :P
Nice little interview. Thank you. Love Paul, like Tim. Sorry Paul's just done more, lol. Thanks
how he is still charming in his 70?
