I saw a very similar recipe that had one quick additional step. It showed that once you take the chicken out of the oven & baste the skin, put it back into the oven under the broiler for about 2 minutes. It will give you crispy skin, if that's what you like. I certainly do.
Or in the air fryer for 3 minutes b
What are you basting it with? There's liquid in the pan but where did it come from?
@@shepburn4755the chicken will give off a watery juice. Most best to use a glass pan if u want to get the most juices out of it.
@@AlyssaDebonairthanks!!!!
Me too!! If the skin isn’t crispy I don’t want it! Although my family likes the moist skin 😏

I am 75 years old and have made chicken every which way there is, this is undoubtedly the best tasting chicken I have ever had. It is so moist and the flavor is delicious. I made 5 thighs for my husband and I; we ate every piece. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.
You and your husband ate 5 thighs? That's a lot unless your husband is a high school football player.
@@georgesitgraves8474you eat like a 🐦 don’t mean everyone else does.
5 pieces of chicken thighs is not a lot for two people. The husband probably had three pieces and the wife two pieces. Plus people eat more when they enjoy the food.
@@georgesitgraves8474we cook 6 thighs and we eat every one of them for dinner and we are in our mid 70s. There’s not a ton of meat on them, so it’s not hard to eat 3 each…
hello, do i cover the chicken?
I’m giving it a go!!
Okay so I’m not one to make stuff I see in videos. I’m pretty good at coming up with my own stuff. However, after seeing this it looked so damn good I decided to give it a try on the same day… I followed your direction exactly as they were described in the video.. let me tell you this is hands down the absolute best recipe for baked chicken I have ever eaten in my life. My family couldn’t get enough. I normally do not subscribe to cooking channels but you now have a fan for life. Will be trying more of your dishes soon
Thank you for subbing. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
I'm sold! Great video, convincing comment...can't wait to try this recipe!
Is there any bite to it? Asking as I can handle it but my kids can't usually.
Did u add any water to pan
Mine currently in oven
OMG amazing!!! My family only eats the breast. I grew up loving thighs. I told them I was testing a new recipe. The aroma was driving them crazy and they kept coming into the kitchen to ask if it was ready. FANTASTIC!!! It was gone in no time. My husband is ready for this again right away!! 🙌thank you!
Your story is similar to mine! My son only eats or rather, likes chicken breasts, too! However, I have noticed he quite enjoys these tender chicken thighs! It's all in the recipe!
Not to mention the price difference per pound between the two. Thighs with bone and skin are crazy cheap
My daughter and I can't get enough of this recipe!!! Thanks for posting ❤️
I don't have a problem getting my 13 year old to eat chicken, but after eating this recipe he said "I will eat this chicken every day". Delicious and healthy...great recipe!
I’m on my second time using this recipe! I’m addicted. Your blends are always perfect. Not too salty, and it doesn’t lack FLAVORRR! Thank you so much!!
I love the pointing out of the mistakes/accidents it’s so authentic and real! I ALWAYS do things accidentally or make like 30 mistakes while cooking anything! Lol. No matter how good I get at cooking I know I’ll always make rookie mistakes.
I’m a ‘seasoned’ cook, but always open to new recipe ideas! Your kitchen sense and technique (including all hands in!) match how I cook and your results looked so good - I just had to try it! Fortunately, I happened to have every ingredient on hand except the Creole seasoning. I laid the well-seasoned thighs atop a big orange ‘raft’ of peeled fresh whole carrots and halved purple shallots. I figured the carrots would baste in all the chicken’s herbs, spices, and juices. After 38 minutes I probed for thigh temp and it was 157 deg - perfect to be pulled out to rest and rise by residual cooking, covered. Too, the big carrots were hot and al dente. A++ results!
You are truly a breath of fresh air. After seeing so many videos of people who literally take the chicken from the package and start seasoning and cooking it without cleaning it or taking off the extra fat and extra skin. I so much appreciated your video!! Thank you!
The world needs more teens like you Krissy.Good for you.
Yes!! Definitely changed the way I bake my chicken. Hubby always say "Dinner was delicious Baby" and that's what I love to hear.
Renny T Isn’t it wonderful to have an appreciative hubby ? Mine will say more than once, “thank you for the good dinner, baby” - even if it is a grilled cheese sandwich and soup !
@@Melody-285 I hope your husband doesn't say it as many times as mine; I be getting kind of annoyed after the fourth or fifth time...and I promise I'm not exaggerating...lmao! The worst part is that I don't have the heart to tell him how annoying it is...haha! 🤣🤣Don't get me wrong though, I do appreciate his compliments, but anyone with a brain could agree that it is a bit excessive...lol!
Sadly, mine passed away recently but no, he didn’t say it that much, but when he did, I thought it was very sweet & I appreciated it - wish I could hear it again
@@Melody-285 Aww, I'm so sorry for your loss! 😔😔Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate him telling me, but it just seems weird to say it over, and over, and over again so many times...lol! Like, I get a time or two; maybe even three! But after that is just too much...lol! But to be honest, it mostly annoys me whenever I'm angry at him, and at those times I'd rather not keep saying "you're welcome" multiple times, because at those times I my need space and some silence...lol! Otherwise, I could deal with it no matter how weird it seems, and I agree that it is very sweet! Again, I am so sorry for your loss! 💙💙
I rarely comment on any video but I must say I have made this recipe several times and it is awesome. I live in a household of very picky eaters and this recipe wins every time. My gfs boy even requested this recipe for his 12th birthday. Everyone was happy. Keep up the great content. Thanks.
Definitely my go to person for never failing recipes every dish I have made from your videos has been amazing and a big hit in my household
I made this last night. I was missing a couple of ingredients but it still turned out super good & falling off the bone. Yummy 🙂
I love your ingredient combo in this! Looks so amazingly good. Thanks for the recipe. 👍
I made this the other night, and it was fab-u-lous! I normally do not make chicken. It always comes out dry and bland--and I always knew it was my fault.. I learned the chicken needs to be washed and patted dry, nested in the dish, slathered in spices, left to marinate/settle before baking, and cooked at a moderate heat (350').
Thank you for the video! 🍗
You do not need to wash chicken. This is a common myth from many decades ago that people still do out of habit. None of the top restaurants in the world wash the chicken.
@@ck9618 That's why we don't eat there. Island people wash their chicken with vinegar, lime or lemon juice, gets all the rank smell and slime out of the chicken. Go wash your chicken and see what comes out of the bowl. I worked as operations in a chicken rendering plant, if you worked in one, you would ALWAYS wash your chicken. Myth or not. Island people wash.
I made your recipe, but I didn’t have creole seasoning. I used blackening seasoning.. I couldn’t cook the thighs that day so I put in fridge overnight and cooed the next evening. Came out so good I made a second batch. Yes the aroma while it was cooking was amazing. I paired it with a mashed potato recipe and 2 color string beans. Next time I will make dirty rice to accompany it. O M G sooooooo goooooood
I made this for dinner tonight. It turned out amazing. It is truly the best baked chicken thigh recipe I have ever tried. You dear lady are a fantastic cook. Thank you so very much.

Hi Rose!! Your recipe for today sure does look so delicious. I have got to make these. I like the seasoning mix too. Great video!!!...
I made this today following your ingredients exactly except the Adobo seasoning since I never heard of it so I substituted 1/2 tbsp of hot pepper flakes. OMG, this recipe is awesome and from now on, this is my go to recipe for bone in chicken thighs. PERFECT! Thank you.
Get the Adobo, you'll never go back!
You can't sub that with pepper flakes its not the same lol
Adobo seasoning is from the Badia brand of seasonings.

First time, I only had skinless chicken breasts. I decreased baking time to 30 minutes, so juicy. Made a great sandwich the next day with leftovers and side of coleslaw. Today I have thighs, looking forward to dinner.

Grilled these on my smoker with no pan. Delish! Skin was crispy!
That does look like a delicious rub for smoking.
Thank you so much! I watched your video a few times as I prepared my chicken thighs for baking. It looks so good! Putting the rice on now, and soon the broccoli! Hmm, yummy!😋
That recipe is always a winner!
I tried this recipe a couple of days ago. I didn’t have adobo seasoning, so I substituted with Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Poultry Seasoning. I also used smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. Baby, let me tell you…….this chicken is fire! It’s even better the next day. I will definitely keep this recipe in rotation. In the future I will marinate it overnight.
I’m making this today for Sunday dinner. Your recipes never disappoint so I know it will be bomb!!
I am going to make this for dinner tonight. With yellow Mexican rice. Yummy.
Did u add water
@@dominicks5599 No don't add water. The water in the pan is from the chicken juices. And I believe she washed her chicken before cooking it and did not dry it out well. Just air dry for a bit. So when you cook the chicken it will let out water. If you don't wash your chicken you should not get that much liquid.
Turned amazing. Your recipes never miss! Thank you.
That looks glorious!
Made this yesterday and it was so delicious, thanks for the recipe!
Did you covered in the oven

Did you put water in the bottom of the pan or anything while it was baking or just the chicken by itself🧐. I want to make this tonight

This looks delicious!!! Will try!
Don't throw away that extra skin! Toss the extra pieces in a pot at low heat and render out the fat. Keep it in the fridge. It's amazing in soups, and anywhere you want to add a little fat and chicken flavor. If you do it low and slow, you will also get a little fried chicken cracklin'. Like a pork rind, but chicken.
I do this with all my chicken skin
This looks really good, and a very simple dish. I think I'd be tempted to put it under the broiler for five minutes at the end to crisp up the skin. I'm not sure that would work, but I do prefer crispy skin.
i like crispy skin …. i sear mine in a pan on top of the stove before baking this will criisp it up but broiling make work also

The creole seasoning and adobo seasoning both use similar ingredients and they are both in turn similar to your single spices in the recipe.
