Layzie Bone: I Have a Bullet in My Head From When I Got Shot at 16
Vložit
- čas přidán 1. 03. 2016
- Layzie Bone and Rocky Rock of Mo Thugs Records sat down with VladTV, and the Bone Thugs rapper opened up about living the street life during his childhood. The Cleveland rapper started from the beginning and revealed that he was just ten when he got into the street life, adding that it was only a few years later that he was caught with 140 rocks of crack. Layzie then pointed out that he wanted to be a big time drug dealer just like Freeway Ricky, but it was an incident at 16 that left him wanting to leave the street life behind for music.
Layzie explained that he was shot in his neighborhood during a case of mistaken identity, which left him with a bullet permanently lodged in his head. The rapper told us that it was at that moment that he knew he had to get out of the street life and start to work towards a career in music.
Hit the above slide to hear more from Layzie, including how Bone Thugs changed up their name at the request of Eazy-E. - Sport

Layzie is a real cool dude.
bone thugs is the temptations of my generation
Damn, that's a pretty dope perspective
serious, they changed everything
!
Couldn't agree more bro. 👍🏻
Favorite rap group of all time
Cleveland is one of them cities that is hard and rough but isnt recognized as much as Philly Chicago or Detroit
Cleveland is harder than Philly and Detroit.
Cleveland is on Forbes every year as one of the most dangerous cities. i love my home but its bad out here fam
+THEDARKVIGILANTE no it's not
cuz it's not as bad as those cities
Cleveland is rough but it doesn't have the murders Philly & Detroit does. Columbus has more homicides sometimes.
Layzie setting there looking so calm, cool & confident!!!
lml that's who he's talking bout again
I'm 23 yrs old all the way from#SouthAfrica 🙌 just wanna mention I got Mad respect for Layzie Bone and the rest of Bone Thugs N Harmony members...
Bone Thugs is my favorite group of all time. I am a huge die hard fan. I have met them many times. They are good guys, very humble and down to earth. Vlad, this is one of the best Bone interviews that I have ever seen. I swear Ive seen them all! Lol! much love
For real ❤
Could listen to layzie talk all day. Legend
"i feel like im incriminating myself in this mothafucka" lmaoooo
5:44
he bak peddled fast af..like "ayy i was just makin a thousand dollars a day"
Man I love to see a bone thugs movie
Empire Minded they did tho years back
“I Tried” check it out. It’s a great movie. I own it. Doesn’t have bizzy in it tho
@@tooreosonecup4995 if bizzy and flesh were in it it would've been way better
"I Tried" was a DUMB ass movie, Garbage. But on a good note, Nipsey (R I P) Hussle got a part in it. Other than that, the movie trash!
B.E.T. should do a biography for bone thugs n harmony like they did with New edition and Bobby Brown. That would be nice though
"This is a real ass interview, I like this"....agreed!
Layzie looks like he is like the most chill from bone thugs
Layzie bone is hands down the COOLEST NIGGA I EVER MET!! Got to smoke a blunt with him.. Life:Complete!
wtf...really!!??....man. lucky.
😑like that? U must not get out much.. then again I'm from Cali. Celebs especially rappers are nothing to get shook over giggin with. Never know who u might run into at a function depending on the company u keep.
Marcus Scott I'm hating. now I wanna fight you😂😂
Marcus Scott i passed on the blunt but we spoke for a long time after a show
I smoked a Blunt with Layzie on the first of the month while all 5 members of Bone where performing 1'rst of the month back in 2013
I seen bone thugs when they came to pittsburgh last week.... I was right in front and I couldn't stop watching Layzie. he really captivated me. I can't wait for them to come back.... :)
I just saw Bone Thugz in concert and they announced there's a biopic of them in production.
Lord Jamar and DJ Vlad's Son it'd be decent but, they don't need it. When I saw, we were all to busy smokin
When
Effing Suburban also when
That stuff gonna be dope
They need one
listenin to layzie makes me feel relaxed
Lazy is so cool and chill
@ 14:07 nice Eazy-E impression. Made me smile thinking about old eazy.
Great interview, Layzie one of my all time favs
Good interview. Layzie is the best spoken member of BTNH
Dude is always coherent and articulate. Stays on point too.
Krayzie is a bit introspective with social anxiety, Bizzy is all over the space. Flesh and Wish are almost never doing interviews.
Good to hear those stories from the dude that got me listening to them. First song I ever heard was Thuggish Ruggish Bone and I thought Layzie did the best in that song. Only later I started appreciated the rest of bone thugs
If you check out Bizzy's Breakfast Club interview you'll see that he's actually very articulate too. His reasoning is very clear. He used to be always under the influence of something but you can hear he's in a good space right now
Lay was FINEEEEE AF back in the day.
Panamanian Muffin Garrison He still is handsome. Lol.
yessssss🤞🏾
Still is
Damn Layzie been through some stuff. His brother carried 8 blocks to their house ? Wow
This stuff happens only thy best cuz we can survive !!! I’m just happy 😃 he is alive ❤❤❤❤
Layzie is a hero he saved someone from dying
Dave Kemp man he shot wish on accident lol wish said it was a drive by to prevent kray from going to prison
@@cezzeboi2841 krayzie shot wish
Like… me 😊
"And Wally even tho you're gone, you still got love from Bone, my nigga just rest your soul, and we'll see you at the crossroads..."
I love the original
+Bri Nae Me too
I love how honest Lay is . I love his character .
saw this guy that met em and said that Wish is always high, Lay is always laid back, Bizzy is the polite one always like 'yes maam no sir' Flesh is the one that talks the most and Kray is silent
Stantorse accurate and also if pushed bizzy will give you the business
lol ironically enough i never heard flesh speak
Spanish 2.0 Me neither 🤔🤔🤔
@@thenewspanishacademy Flesh is actually the nicest one in the group. I met him and Bizzy. At the same time Flesh is the craziest one too in a thuggish way too.
Watch out for the silent one.
this is the best interview in a very long time. Please do more bone thug interviews
Layzie I love your real ness.. I love how you even loved the interview.. Keep it going strong in your music..
"Feel like I'm incriminating myself"
- DETECTIVE VLAD
Layzie músic has gotten me through the hardest times of my life and gave me wisdom to not feel sorry for myself for to long...never count our eggs before they hatch... love you o.g lil lay

This guy vlad tv sounds like a detective interviewing people
Everybody says that 🤣🤣
C.I
yeah kindda his Job right, fuck this dude gets the real artist and gets the story, what is Entertainment??
He sure does
Vlad is the Detective Orn (Law and Order) of Hip Hop....🧐🤔
The first two mins....
A lot of the young generation are just like that. I know from experience with family.
You can tell Vlad ain't from the hood. Who doesn't know about stealing bike frames, chains, and rims/tires?.....
Then putting them together and riding or selling.....
If you grew up on these dudes you will always have mad love for the thugs the rap kids be bumping nowadays is garbage go study 90s rap the greatest decade of all
Amen say it again bro I love the era of hiphop I grew up on can't stress it enough man thank god for Pandora lol
I know nobody really says this any more but Ima say it any way "FACTS"
@@shennarice5749 allready I also love all generations if it wasn't for bone no migos If it wasn't for lil flip no travis Scott evolution is beautiful
During the east coast west coast beef bone worked with both pac and biggie and both albums went over triple platinum. Let that sink in
Please interview Bizzy. Man that shit will be live
+Marc Regal Yea he has a story to tell!
Marc Regal go watch it
I like how he says this is a real ass interview. He's a real ass dude so it makes sense. And I also like how he says at like 9:04 or something, when he talks about you know Bone, some of the guys are about shotguns and AK-47's and all that. Haha I think we know which members he's referring too. Because any Bone fan knows the 12 gauge was Krayzie's thing, and we know all about Flesh & the AK haha
I was thinkin the exact same shit mane!!
+bizzy523 And krazey shot wish in da leg wit a shot gun
Bizzy and krayzie had shotguns. Bizzy use to ride with his sisters bd with a whole gauge krayzie started toting like that after rap bizzy was doing it before it and he was hustling. They all had massive guns any tru fan knows that u just meat riding it seems.
I love this interview I felt him when he said that
His stories are sickkk!! Interview him again so we can listen to more stories
Vlad: And by dope yu mean crack?
No vlad he meant candle wax..
Call Me Deaux 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
I personally served a pheind some candle wax, and the cluck came back and bought some more.
One of the best interviews in a while.
bone got some horror stories boi... the little i do know "bizzy being kidnapped, was told mom had died, molested, in out of foster homes, foster brother capo murdered" krazy accidently shooting wish in the leg while drunk trying to rob some cats, state picking up the case causeing him to do a bid, flesh threatening to kill someone in person on probation with ak47 having to do 10yrs smh. now lazy smh
TTown Brown yeah crazy!! They need a movie for sure
Turtle Anton they said its comin out, i ont kno if its tru tho
It’s boy
@@DavidJones-oq3xu You'll get yo' ass beat in Shaker Heights tho'
@@CKACKAJACKA it's all good just see me on fleet E 55 we posted here these days or maybe up the way at garden valley but duck nigga it's all northeast Ohio so we all family
the shotgun sounds like Krayzie...the AK47 sounds like Flesh lol
Gotta love this era. I remember reading interviews in music and graffiti magazines. Now I can you tube and watch or listen.
15:36 now I know who threw that garbage can! It must have been BB😂 somethings haven't changed 😂
Layzie And bizzy my favorite out bone thugs
Flesh and Krayzie are the best
+Flesh N Bone 716 Krayzie tha greatest, Layzie tha realest, and bizzy tha craziest (my favorite 3)
Kray and bizzy made you notice bone and flesh had a unique voice and flow pattern lay n wish were my least 2 fav

Bone is such a Iconic Group. Always been a massive fan. I still have the CD's
Bone Thugs too smart and real I will forever love listen and respect 🙏
I really enjoyed this! Lay painted a picture in this interview.
e1999 eternal was there life. I always pictured in my head what they were doing on st clair st. Glad this interview was different from all the others. For example, "How did you meet Eazy E?" 2pac? Biggie? The same questions all the time. I really hope they write a book and movie. God Bless them they are 100% Real!!!!
Vlad you've gotta interview Bizzy next ..
they look young asf to be in they 40s

They need to put their story on the big screen already!!
Great testimony! Let's keep striving all my Ohio brothers.
great interview... bone thugs n harmony "est 1999" was one of the first albums i ever had as a kid lol..
Vlad said he never heard of stripping bikes🙈... Just goes to show the huge divide in the haves and have-nots in this country
Right.. Vlad don't know anything about getting yo bike stolen then going to steal yourself another one.
You saying that like it's a negative. S/O vlads parents for hustling & setting him up for success. If you feel any kind of way about him not knowing about strippin bikes, look at your parents for not making the right decisions
+Rich Harrow definitely not "internet banging" it just sounded like you were taking shots for vlad not growing up "hood".
+Q Watts my first arrest ever came from stealing and stripping bikes! All them brand Redline, Haros, Gts
Q Watts my charge got thrown out cause the cop that locked me up got caught wit 3 ounces of coke
These interviews are the best...Make sure you continue the style about peoples history and life stories!
BTNH are my favorite group of all time since Faces of Death and still are currently. I have heard a lot of their interviews and you by far ask the best questions and I learned a lot more about Layzie today than ever. Thank you.
damn, layzie could've played Eazy-E
yup :)
Or nipsey
Layzie is my FAVORITE Bone member of all time
Great interview. And one of my favorites
We used to jack bikes and change the parts all the time then sell them lol
I aint gonna lie vlad starting to sound like the cops lol
Clarence Dixon hahahaha. That's what I thought. Spot light on em. Investigation lol.
Damn I thought it was just me, I was like damn is my dude being interrogated???
Who know about the bike rim, and milk cart used as a basketball goal wit a piece of wood as the backboard?......😄
damn real. Real nigga bball. they wouldnt understand
+Marc Regal
Already👍
We had one in the backyard on a tree only hopped I could slam...
what an experience to share with all your fans such a pleasure to know this hearing a proud man from his ghetto bless all who do not have much
I Remeber being a young kid when BoneThugs& Harmony first came out and it was five of them and four of us. My siblings and I all picked a Bone a piece. I was Layzie Bone, he was always my FAV!!! Its crazy how kids identify themselves through artist and music. They will always be a legendary iconic group. Have they been inducted Hollywood Rock Roll Hall of Fame?
I wish BTH would do more speaking engagements on the trauma in Black communities they experienced. Also speak to the younger generations.
He has not aged not one day since I was in the 4th grade when they came out with "crossroads";d
Dam i want his genes.
Fresh(1994) wasn't just a movie, and the main character was very common in the drug trade.
This!
Great interview Lay is a straight Legend. BTNH4LIFE they definitely paved the way for many, Real General’s ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️
Dope interview!!
Layzie Bone nd Bizzy Bone da ones who were da main voice of Bone Thugs n Harmony 💯

one of the realest interviews I've seen with a hip hop artist
People from the older era are more laid back and straight up
Every Vlad Interview I see, it's him asking some police azz! questions? I be like 🤔🤔🤔
I’m so lucky that my father is from Cleveland and I love it when we visit because it feel so real to have that Midwest vibe n I’m lucky to experience it
I Love the interview!
Layzie's Thug Brothers album with Young Noble is a fuckin classic
Man we need a Bone movie
I'm so glad you pulled thru I love you so much you showed me so much compassion when I met you here in DC when my daughter told you how I lost my son who favors both you and Bizzy you are like family to me thank Allah for you all🙏🏆🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Man! This'll make for a GREAT Bone Thugs biopic! Background stories like this make me cross my fingers!
vlade is a nerd..never herd of stealing bike parts..wow.
